I was always avoiding this one for a while since most people say it's shit, but I'm having a lot of fun. Doing all the sidequests for neutral route was a chore, but it's been a while since a game has naturally progressed to mid Lv. 80's expectations, just finished killing Lucifer. Story is sort of bland and very literal on hammering away at law v. chaos, but it's not terrible.

I bought one of the $100 New 3DS systems last December and have had both Monster Hunter Generations and Fire Emblem Conquest randomly crash on me repeatedly.

With no knowledge of the New 2DS, I will at least say the New 3DS is one of Nintendo's more refined systems. D-pad and circle pad feel very nice, buttons are nice and clicky, placements of all the power/volume/3d sliders are good, and the shoulder buttons actually feel very nice. There is pretty much nothing ergonomically wrong with it or cheap (like even the DS Lite had a shit d-pad and shoulder buttons), so it's a super safe bet.

Plus I personally actually use the 3D, so the face tracking is nice.

Sun/Moon is such a cutscene heavy boring bullshit it is not even funny. I got bored after I entered the second Island.
I started SoulSilver again just to play something and it is incredible how fast you actually are able to begin the game compared to newer pokemons.

There are side-jobs for each town to do in order to improve your relationship with them, and then side-requests for each town to help them improve. And then there are the requests from father, which can be a challenge to complete.

There's a bunch of stuff to do in the game, although it's different from Rune Factory and the ability to just grab your sword and stab monsters for the day.

Pretty much every game benefits from having the 3D on even a tiny bit because when it's turned off it seems like some blurry AA filter is applied. I always wondered why people complained about the 3D since I always thought games looked much better.

From what I understand, the guides are fairly idiot-proof and not every step will brick your system. Go over to /vg/ and you can probably find the pirating general or whatever for the instructions.

However, Nintendo is fully aware of the 3DS piracy and if you try to send in a bricked system for repairs, they will just send it right back with a notice that its warranty has been voided. I'm not even sure how they would handle a NNID account transfer if one of the systems are unavailable, but I'm sure it would be a hassle. So do be aware that nobody is just going to re-install the 3DS menu if you screw it up that badly, and it would be worthless at that point.

The price difference is bullshit, but every game runs better on the "new" line of 3ds models.

Thankfully mhxx is more lax regarding verticality and uneven terrains, but it's still a pain.
3D environments in a ~240p screen with fuckloads of jaggies is visually painful, either go with sprites or dont go
The 3D effect is a gimmick you barely used and that ate all the budget and power from the console, it could have gone to a better quality screen or improved grafix.
Making a handheld device fold to protect its screens is a good idea, but giving it a clicking noise after hitting a small resistance before being completely open is stupid and makes me nervous

Different Anon, it has the best online multiplayer out of the Senran games. And, honestly, it's one of the only online multiplayer co-op brawlers I've seen. However, combat is repetitive (especially if you are underpowered) and it is ridiculously easy to break in half with the right equipment. I honestly wouldn't recommend it, although if you do want a multiplayer 3D brawler (and can prompt people into playing online) then it's pretty good.

It's a pretty solid beat em up/hack n slash, even for a handheld game. SK2 is definitely the best SK game in terms of gameplay
Feels like a big step up from Burst. I think the best part of the game is that they revamped the movesets for all of the girls, and it feels like they all have varied moves that are useful in different scenarios instead of just same-y combo chains.
