The hacking minigame was definitely some bullshit, especially since investing neuromods just made it harder. If I'd designed it, one would be able to hack any level security at rank 1, but trying to hack a level 4 lock at that point.

If I didn't like how Dishonored felt gameplay wise, should I even vaguely give Prey attention? I love SS2 and Deus Ex (all except IW because dem loading zones and crashes) for how they actually feel gameplay wise (though old Deus Ex feels way better than newer). I didn't like Biocock either because just like Dishonored, I felt like I was gliding around on a hoverboard.

Not the anon you're talking to, but to me, female protagonist really don't bother me. I'm indifferent as long as it doesn't perverse the story telling into some form of propaganda which in most cases it doesn't. If we wait a few years and let all these groups who feel like they're being under represented get their day then I think with time things will balance back out into a reasonable amount of diversity for protagonist like how things were in the early 2000's. If we react with bitterness because the protagonists isn't a white dude then we're just making a point that it seems important to us.

In a few years the gaming craze will go back to being for the people who were really passionate about it and it'll no longer be a political grab

This game could have been an instant classic without the Prey name.

The last 30% of the game is mostly returning to places you've already been, fighting things you've already seen with weapons you're used to. There's nothing interesting to see or do at this point.
The game needed a new weapon or some other new gameplay mechanic.
Oh, and the last kind of enemy that pops up everywhere has to be the most annoying and laziest enemy in the game.

I thought BF1 was set in WW1? That said, I do agree that they should have allowed for customizable soldiers and not straight up force you to play as black soldiers. It was blatant as fuck and an insult to the player because they already assume the black soldiers won't be played if a choice was given.

Overwatch is a different case though. There's a shitload of other things that are already unrealistic enough that it sets the tone and context of the whole thing for female fighters to be valid. The same goes for CoD because it only affects MP and your avatars are customizable so the element of player choice is what allows it to happen.
