Well sorry I don't watch e-celebs play through a game 7 times, 6 speed runs and read multiple guides before I play a video game.

Its hardly relevant anyway. The game showers you with echoes and blood rocks, and was balls easy with the (if you are to be believed) threaded cane. Why would I possibly want to make it even easier?

I thought I would try out a new in NG+ but then I found there is absolutely zero reason to play NG+ because all the normally NG+ content has been shoved into repetitive boring dungeons yay!

To be honest is not that big an issue because you can't really get much use out of that armor. And that point in the game you won't have more than 2 batteries from exploring the surrounding area. That won't last you more than 30 minutes of play time.
