Every Persona game needs to have someone actually explaining things because the MC is a silent brick. It's the same as P4 where Yosuke did all the talking and was the one to yell at the final bosses rather than Yu, and P3 where Junpei and to a lesser extent Mitsuru did it.

Until we stop having silent protagonists it's how it's gotta be.

P5 at least gave you a LOT more interjections than the previous games.
