If playing commando, use FMJ to keep them at bay, i usually spam FMJ so that i can keep distance between me and the horde. Use suppressive fire when near, it stuns them. Roll away if theyre nearby, commando has a pretty low hp pool. Best combo ive done is roll away, spam FMJ and suppressive fire then walk away, rinse and repeat

Yes. You just need to get enough hooves to outrun all the worms even if they come up in sequence. Tons of feathers/rusty jetpacks makes this much easier though.

X and C give i-frames. V is jump to AoE below.
X is your main source of damage along with V and also has the longest i-frames, that last for a few steps walking after the dash ends if you look at your health bar closely.
C stops you briefly upon the back-dash, but you still get i-frames, and it stuns enemies.
You can use V right after you jump to extend the height of your jump.
Basically spam your skills to damage and survive. But sometimes you have to save your X for escaping, like with worms. You cannot kill worms unless you have Shield Generator, and even then it'll take like two to three shields to survive and get the kill. If you're playing /v/mode, leave worms to other guys and focus on clearing enemies and surviving. Hoofs and a medkit or two are essential. Lenses or Knives work well. A couple Crowbars will make taking enemies down easier with your X and V.
It takes a lot of practice to know how enemies attack and how they work, as well as how your skills work. But once you get the hang of him, Miner is super easy and super fun to play - if you don't get bullshitted by the game or caught with your skills down and unable to escape.
