Because you have hella lot of range and heavy armor. You still can dodge by jumping.
So far the funniest class I've ever played was assassin with daggers and shield.

Once you hit the levelling soft cap at lvl100, IIRC, all that xp is fucking borderline worthless and you can easily hit the softcap on normal mode before Daimon. Practically, hard mode makes the mid part of the game "easier" due to the possibility of rapid levelling to 100 and fast loot acquisition, but the end game (BBI) is MUCH harder.

You are grossly exaggerating. You won't hit 50 just doing the sidequests and main quests before bringing the head in. You would have to purposefully go off to hunt plenty of shit. Pic related is my stats about to turn in all the shit to maxemilian to begin the court thing, so just killed the griffon and all the other quests in that bunch. I just hit 50 but I haven't really messed with BBI yet.

You're meant to switch around pretty often, at least between classes similar to yours
The stats don't matter that much at the end of the day, but each class unlocks a different set of passives which aren't bound to that class like skills are, and generally for a "complete" build you want passives from at least 3 or so classes.

But yeah, if you find yourself lacking in a particular area, switching to a class that fixes that for you is definitely what the devs intended.

Why am I getting wrecked so hard in BBI?
Playing as lvl 83 MA atm, started as a mage, went fuck that changed to strider, leveled as strider to about 33, then from sorc to almost 50, then mostly assassin with occasionally some ranger for stamina.

Was struggling against a warg before where half my attacks didn't seem to break its damage threshold, other than that I either seem to rape things pretty effectively or literally cannot even break the DT.

By the way I play mostly climbing, and have stuff like opportunism, but I also leveled sorc for some decent mg attack for the bow.

I can't remember the area's name, since it's been exactly one year since I played the game last time, but it's there at north from where you find your (probably) first dragon in the forest.
You can access goblin tunnels with a small arisen and you can also kill the goblin king before he escapes, if you're strong enough.

NG, Normal BBI is meant for Lv.70+, but you sound like you're underequipped, and being an Assassin for so many levels really trashed your Def.

DF a Rusted Bow and just get somewhere high any time Wargs are around.

You can also knock them down with any of your knockdown-inducing Skills or Blast Powder, then pick them up and hold them while your Pawns kill them, or just toss them off cliffs.

Am I gimping myself by playing only warrior for ~70 levels? It's too much fun to arc of deliverance. Could I for the sake of example switch to arcane archer with minimal problems at some point or am I destined to smash?

As a clinging Vocation, they have a blindspot just between their shoulders and neck where their headbut won't hit you, but they also won't shake you off as often, you can exploit.

The game is extremely reliant on statchecks in combat, especially when it comes to gear..

And as far as I know there was no "infuse stats into X gear", which is bad news for somebody who wants to play /fa/ but also hates not playing at full capacity.

basically damage=attack-defense, to say it simple.
So if you have less attack than the enemy has defense you deal 1 damage.
But periapts completly break it since they multiply your attack by 1.2 before the defense is subtracted.
So stacking 4 periapts can make the difference between no damage and a fuckton of damage.
I don't know why he or other people hate this system over any other.

I finished my first playthrough last month, started with hard mode after an anon recommended it to me.
Thinking of cosplaying pic related since I unlocked the abyssinal outfit, but didn't start BBI yet. Would it be fine to do BBI in ng+? There's no difference between BBI now and ng+?

Also thanks to the moff anon or someone else with a similar thick arisen. They posted their sliders a few threads ago and I used them correctly in ddsavtool.

It's doable. recommended for BBI even. BBI has two modes, Pre and Post Daimon. Pre Daimon is fairly easy, though with Hardmode, be prepared to hate Eliminators. Make sure to get that Augment that lessens the time to escape grabs, helps a lot.

I would kill for a mod that makes NG+ enemies higher level. Honestly NG+ feels like bullying a bunch of a children as an adult in SWAT gear.

I also didn't like Hard Mode. My character became super strong and rich way too quickly, I was barely struggling at all.
Might try that EXP mod that >>376868735 suggested, but that probably won't be enough since you still get tons of money. I want the game to literally turn me into a pretzel and make me squirm in agony, where even tiniest victories feel like a breath of fresh air.
