>1 month after launch
>price cut to $40
>devs moved onto other projects already
>not even going to be any DLC
JUST Effect Andromeda
>>376863551
>devs moved onto other projects already
>not even going to be any DLC
wouldn't this be normal back in days of like 6th gen?
Devs would just make the game, have it working well and then release it
It's only nowadays where devs need to be constantly working on bug patches post release, or patches to improve the netcode and servers, and DLC packs to earn more revenue
>>376863551
ME:A was dead on arrival. Before arrival even. None of this is surprising or even interesting anymore. We'll have to shitpost about something new soon.
If there was a way to reboot a franchise that has become an infamous monument to the effect of shoddy development and publisher interference on a product, this wasn't it.
Its shit. That's why.
>>376863808
true
but this game is different
it is litterally the quality of a steam early access indie game
to have a split like this when there is still so much to fix is not good
>>376863551
>andromeda
>article specifically says it knows nothing about andromeda
Actually abandoning it would be even worse for the brand. They'll roll out a few more patches to try to win back some goodwill.
>>376863808
Yeah but Bioware released a shoddy game that seriously needed to be fixed, with a multiplayer component that needs live support and updating, and the past games in the series all had DLC to extend the playtime of the game.
This is just embarrassing.
>>376864186
i was going to say final nail in the coffin but if anything this was like paving over the grave with asphalt
>and Bioware is kill
PLEASE
I still not forgive then for ME3.
Burn in hell spawn of evil.
DIE
BIOWARE
DIE
but I liked Andromeda, been waiting for DLCs
what the fuck
>>376864356
its too late for that
real fans of the series were already skeptical from ME3
this game really was the end for us all
i was lucky enough to try it at a friends house and we both hated it
multiplayer was alright i guess but not enough by far to save it
>>376864561
sorry about your shit taste anon
>>376863808
wtf I love Andromeda now
>You've lived long enough to actively look forward to Bioware's death
I feel like Old Snake in MGS4
>>376864484
nobody will forgive them for that
this was suppose to be like a clean slate to start a new
just constant back pedaling and embarrassment
>>376864618
>real fans of the series
You mean easily lured normalfags?
>>376864281
>it is litterally the quality of a steam early access indie game
Please find me such an example, I'd love to see it.
>>376864646
What other space rpg drama I am supposed to play?
>>376863551
>not even going to be any DLC
Jokes on you. They already finished the DLC.
>>376864561
>but I liked Andromeda
Lucky for you, anon, that there are more resources to deal with autism nowadays.
>>376864646
usually i would call out faggots for pulling the shit taste meme
but fuck me you are right
>>376864714
its insane that all the once beloved companies are hated with a passion now
>>376864767
no those faggots forgave bioware and bought Andromeda
>this piece of shit was in development for 7 years
>>376865018
But they also forgave Bioware and bought ME3 after forgiving Bioware and buying ME2.
Andromeda is just another example of a game that needed a couple more months of polish before release. I doubt theyd fix the faces but a lot of the other big problems with the game could have been fixed if EA didnt do what they do best.
>>376864561
I tried to like it.
I really did.
But it was so bad and the ending was fucking atrocious.
>>376864780
PUBG?
>>376863808
you would be right if we were talking about anybody but EA. The early price cut and them not even attempting dlc (fucking DA 2 had a few dlc mini-expansions) says a ton. I don't think bioware as a whole ever did as bad as Andromeda on all fronts. ME 3 wasn't that bad even with the ending thing.
>>376863551
>>not even going to be any DLC
Huh. Are you sure?
Nowadays DLC is planned a year before the game is even released. If they had planned any DLCs, it would be almost complete when they release the base game.
>>376864561
Is that a woman?
>>376864484
>Being this butthurt over what was actually a good ending.
Might wanna use some anal cream anon.
>>376863808
They literally did press about how the game was unfinished on release thinking it would make their new DRM update and patch think impressive or something I don't know or understand anymore.
>>376866121
Considering how chaotic Andromeda's development was they probably did have to actually put the dlc on the back-burner. No dlc is huge for this kind of game because it means EA doesn't even think it can get it's money's worth from throwing together assets that are mostly already there (and again, pretty much every modern bioware game has had a ton of dlc). The entire franchise might be actually done for real.
>>376866376
>>376864360
Considering all ME DLCs are an actual embarassment, this might be good.
>>376863551
Good, one more, on to the next.
Narrative focused videogames need to die.
>>376864356
What goodwill? Bioware burned whatever remained with them with ME3'S ending
>>376863808
>wouldn't this be normal back in days of like 6th gen?
No, back in the days of 6th gen, this abortion would have been killed before ever getting out of the gate due to how badly it would taint the brand.
Now there are so many fucking casuals and retards eating the shit up that they don't even have to try anymore.
>>376866376
>/v/ is unironically defending that piece of shit fuck you in the ass ending
Oh this BETTER be a shitpost dont fuck with me /v/
Was this really developed by the B-team, with no support or allocation of resources from the primary studio? No wonder it failed, it was destined to
>not realizing that ME:A was just the latest in a series of suicide attempts by the husk of Bioware.
Perhaps this one will stick.
>>376867720
Was Inquisition made by a B team too?
>>376867720
More like C or even D team.
>>376867645
Probably referring to the fixed ending DLC which was pretty fine. If you played the game late, you never would have experienced the original cut and just gotten a pretty decent end.
>>376863551
It's been an entire month already?
>>376868645
>make a 4th ending just to say fuck you to not liking the ending
No it wasnt pretty fine
>>376868934
So you didn't play it? Cool but you should probably look it up on youtube or something to see the differences.
>>376863551
And nothing of value was lost.
>caring about ME at all after the first game
>>376863551
YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP
*INHALES*
PFFFAHAHAAHAHAHA
