It's a sequel to the digimon world, plays pretty similar and even some of the music sounds exactly like the one for ps1. You still don't have direct control over your digimon in battle, you raise stats and evolve them and you explore a big world to find items / digimon that return to your town. It made some good improvements like giving you the option to upgrade buildings with materials you find and easier training and stuff like that. The only problem I have so far is that you have now 2 digimon and they can die at different times, which means that you sometimes will have an ultra level already but your other digimon gets reborn so you'll have to train them again. There's also a direct level system for your character which increases stuff like training stat gain, how long your digimon live and so on. It honestly feels like a modernized digimon world 1 and I love it.

I'd tell you, but the game isn't on PC and I can't be arsed to suffer through another PS4 game and be forced to use a controller and play at 24 fps. I just can't do it anymore. It legit makes me feel sick, not so much the framerate as the terrible feeling of being trapped by an inefficient controller. The freedom of mouse and keyboard has spoiled me.
