Other M is a game I could possibly see a first-timer liking for gameplay reasons. As much as I hate the game I can't deny I finished it and didn't hate myself for playing it. The story is an abortion of a plot that not only retcons several very critical facts about the lore but it's somehow misogynist even for a Japanese game and is full of "who gives a fuck" characters that die immediately and for stupid reasons. If the game didn't have a plot that was focused on the motherhood theme, or if it was written in an actually endearing and humanizing way, and the only character was Adam, or no characters at all as it has been since before Prime 3, then the game would have above average. Instead we have a game where a hot girl with the voice of a GPS struggles with her biological clock while an authoritative male figure directs her what to do while spouting the most cringe inducing and asinine dialogue seen in a Nintendo game.
