It's servicable, but not much more. It's fun to play, but it's buggy as all hell, feels very clunky in many situations such as when your barrel is clearly above an obstable but the hitboxes are too fucky so when you fire your shot is blocked by the rock below your barrel, and the greatest offender; the sound design just isn't there. No snaps when bullets pass you, no animals getting scared off, no branches crunching below your feet, water and waterfalls don't even make sound at all. For a vietnam game, the enviromental design is extremely poor.

I swear the Mosin is bugged. On the stats it has twice the stopping power of the AKM yet when I am using the AKM in singleshot at mid range almost every hit is a kill whereas only 20% of those with the Mosin are.

perhaps holding (default C?) could bring up a context menu for the weapon.

basically it acts so you can adjust "misc features" like quick-change barrels, bayonets, folding-stocks, or bipods..

though that's perhaps a bit too clunky.

I found it really jarring/immersion breaking in RO2 when my tank got stuck on a small bit of rubble (I think it was "TE_RedOctoberFactory"), it made the immersive interiors kind of null when (in games like War Thunder) tanks were driving around knocking over fences and streetlights and whatever willy-nilly.

Same with the AK, I'll aim at someone, shoot them in the chest (and I know for a fucking FACT that I should hit him) and I'll fire but the gun will jump before I even fire and will miss. I would understand if you got hit in the leg, or arm that you could live, but if you get hit anywhere in the torso, you're down and out for the count.

Well I'm hoping down the line they'll put impacts from having your hands or legs hit, that you can't run as fast, or your aim sways a lot more until you're fully healed by a medic.

Medics will never be irrelevant in Squad, but I believe the damage system in store right now is really basic. You're just a walking/running health pool.

Three shots downs anything. Since the US has quicker firing weapons/low recoil, they usually do the best.

Yurops are some of the most chillest dudes I've played with on RO2 and RS. Mostly Bongs and germans. Bongs get mad pretty quick if you fuckup and don't apologise, but germans always seem pretty chill.

I just had a run at Kobura, I was hiding in a forward hut in the last objective, carrying my trustee Japanese type 99 rifle when 4 americans decided to walk in, took one out with a bullet, stabbed one, had the classic RO panic dance with the 3rd with both of us running in circles shooting eachother until we were out of ammo and started awkwardly reloading infront of eachother and I went for a stabby on his face, than I killed an unaware 4th with a stab.

A 5th GI walked up later, I wounded him with a bullet, when he sat down to bandage himself I banzai'd out and stabbed him to death. RS is a fun game.
