Reposting from last thread, to the anon who asked what the people who are not happy with SB would like to see. I think that could be an interesting discussion. I would like:

>Skill/Talent trees
Improving certain skills we already have and changing the way we play. Perhaps similar to WoW. Not too many choices but the few you choose can change the way you play for the encounter you want to do. I think its a bit sad that a job can be played in one "right" way.

>Relic weapons matter more
We work on those the whole expansion but now, in HW, we got a 280 weapon at the end (well its hard to get but still sucks). Maybe they could infleunce some of our skills, or at least change the way you cast/the skills look like. I think that would be interesting and make these weapons more unique.

I would like to see 8 man raids which are build like the 24 man ones, where you are actually having an adventure and go from boss to boss experiencing a story at once. This is really a big problem to me, I like the encounters xiv has but the whole 1 boss = 1 room designe pisses me off.

(Some other anon also mentioned individual job caps for the 450 stones, I would like it too.)

What kind of changes would you guys like to see? Or are you happy with the current system (which is fine too).

There are only like half a dozen, and most of them are even from the same family. Having just one would make it hard to communicate everything. Literally every single thing in Gridanian society requires permission from the Elementals. All the hunters have to go to a Padjal each day and find out what animals they're allowed to hunt and how many. People harvesting fruits or timber from the forest have to do the same thing. Farmers even need permission to plant things.

You're right, but Gaius' ambitions changed when Solus was getting sick. Gaius was looking to use the Eorzean conquest as a claim to the throne for the sake of keeping Garlemald stable. Varis is a warmongering asshole, and despite fulfilling his duties, Gaius is not a fan of senseless violence. He sure as hell didn't want the possibility of another Meteor Project, and Varis is just the type of fucker to do that given that he was sending Regula to Azys Lla for primal capturing tech.

I remember when I was first leveling a healer, and had no idea if I was any good at it or not. I knew the Vault was a damn meat gate that chewed up bad heals and spat them out, so I sort of dreaded entering it. Was rather pleased with myself when we cleared with no wipes and no issues.

I find hard to believe that Ivalice will be XII-based, or will be some sort of portal to another dimension so we can meet characters from other games. It will probably like Crystal Tower, a region somewhere in XIV's world called Ivalice that will have tons of Ivalice Alliance references, but nothing directly connected to it (no new beast tribes or bunny people either).

But you forget that PLD is most likely getting more skills than WAR because two of their skills are being removed and put into the role skill pool. Thats a lot of potential skills to consider that we know nothing about.
