Meme spun by people who's only knowledge of DMC is high-level play webms posted on /v/; they think the game has nothing but pushover enemies because people with 3000+ hours in the game can stunlock enemies completely.

DMC doesn't have as aggressive enemies as Ninja Gaiden because that's not the type of game it is, but they sure as fuck aren't idle either.

Getting hurt actually makes Raiden stronger. It helps his ripper persona work, cause pain helps it function. Normally his pain inhibitors would allow him to take enormous damage and now feel a thing, like how he got stabbed through the torso in the middle of the game, much like dante, but he he then had his inhibitors turned off at that moment, felt the pain and ripped the sword out and and all the blood caused him to to go awaken "Jack" again. He also survives a fall from a helicopter well over the height of the tallest buildings in the city, falling so far that he makes a crater in the ground, he gets back up and starts the next mission.
