The Ascians are so uterrly ineffectual a villain it baffles me why they continue to appear. They stand behind/above us, all "FUFUFUFUFU ALL ACCORDING TO KEIKAKU", which is the laziest way to write a goddamn villain. Then whenever we fight one they go down like a bitch. We defeated one by just throwing a rock at their head, for gods sake.

It's just like how we still have to deal with scions, mama crystal and her megamilk puppet. It is easier to keep the plot moving forward this way.

"primals of the week" are still better than a bunch of overhyped antagonists that died in a single patch because they somehow completed their main objective off-screen and some coward roe swinging a stupid-looking hammer that is only used as a training dummy to show off a few SAM skills and animations.

I've so far been getting my guy up to level on Ninja, Monk, Dragoon and then want to move onto the newest jobs.
I'm still at the point where Alfie just formed the Crystal Braves and have yet to start HS proper.

yeah I didn't enjoy the story very much in ARR, some highlights but mostly tedious bullshit. There are some better ARR quests after the ultima weapon tho. Gap closers are not basic tools. I think instead one tank should have a really good ranged pull move such as PLD getting a shield lob that bounces between targets, DRK should just get Plunge early on as its gap closer, and WAR should get a move that is like Holmgang but instead chains an enemy and pulls it to them instead of axe throw. Now each job has a unique way to get enemies attention.

The quests typically have nothing to do with the skills given. Plus they never said that new skills being added HAD to be 60+. The GLA circle blade might flat out replace Flash for example.

I wish so much that was the case. They have done less than nothing since they were reintroduced. If the HW patch story was Scion-less ('cept Urianger) and we instead entirely focused on the Nidhogg/Ala Mhigo shit, it'd be... still not perfect, but a hell of a lot more bearable.

most of the girl in this game are either there temporary for the plot, or just annoying.
I hope we get a permanent female member soon, not as scion of course. I'd prefer the characters to be independent from any party/fraction. individuals important npc who can join Wol out of companionship, rather than comrade of common duty.

Is it worth to drop WM to apply dots on trash then turn it back on, or just keep it up at all times
