Not recommended doesn't mean hate though. People who aren't blinded by misplaced loyalty have the ability to spot a game's flaws better the more time they spend playing it. Someone can like a game a lot but is still able to spot the flaws in it, can understand that most people wouldn't tolerate the flaws and, thus, wouldn't recommend the game to anyone else.

The problem with drugs is that they're so good they will ruin your fucking life. These multiplayer games, I want to say 60-80% of people aren't having fun.

You should look at the reviews for the train/farm sim games. Plenty of people have thousands of hours played and still left bad reviews.

Technically i have spent over 200hrs in the beta because i was hyped by the game being a potential upgrade to the first game,
i was examining everything possible in the game, leveling up for new weapons, trying out every skill trees, doing the perfect stealth run etc.

When the game would get fully released i was thinking "that beta was most surely only a quarter of what the full game has to offer".
I was so damn wrong, the full game was a lackluster of memorable contents and the free updates didn't helped me having a more positive image of this game.
when you spend that much time doing fix and gameplay overhaul, you're game is just beyond broken.

Then i won't be talking much about the DLCs that come up with worthtless trashy content that you'll never get because of their stupid reward system.

Worst of all i got the pre-order collection for free and i was still upset by the deception this piece of shit game was.

Yes but that is because they destroyed the game right in front of me. I fucking LOVED Global Agenda. It was my 10/10 GOAY and I enjoyed every minute of it. They Hi-Rez systematically destroyed it piece by piece until I forced myself to stop playing and give up on it. They raped the game into a f2p p2w fuck fest and it hurts my soul. Then they made Tribes. I knew I would love the game but I forced myself to never play it. I tried to warn Tribes players what would happen but they brushed me off. Every single Warframe update i kept telling myself it couldn't get any worse and that the new content would be fun to play around with.

But i snapped, i have a high tolerane to grind (played warframe for 1000 hours and wakfu for 1200 hours purely because i was bored.) but Warframe just kept getting worse and worse with every patch. The devs were basiclly making content for paying customers exclusively and even them were being absolutely drained of money.

I hope the game dies a slow and painful grinding death, and it's awesome art director lives on to make something worthy of it's original potential.

Shootouts are boring but the stealth can be fun sometimes with friends in a sort of "this game is broken and dumb" kind of way. The CSGO map heist is pretty fun to do stealthily.

Dark Souls 3. The devs clearly designed it to only be played once or twice. I tried so hard to make new playthroughs of it, toy around with the different tools, weapons, shields, spells, and the pvp, but everytime I just completely drop the game near Road of Sacrifices/Crucifixion Woods. I played Neotokyo for a long fucking time, took a break to try out 1.6 for a week and was never able to pick Neotokyo back up because of it's low FoV, it genuinely began to give me a headache.

The most regrettable one is Warframe around 400 hours, but that is the extent of it.

I played the game on PS3 because I didn't want to buy a PS4 for a single game (which I basically did at this point) and the fact that most of my friends haven't upgraded yet. We were all burnt out on kings fall too so we weren't very exited or the new content.

Honestly I wouldn't bother playing this game by myself, I have good 80-120 people who still play this shit all the time who are down to do anything. Sometimes when I'd get off work and sign in I'd immediately get an invite for something, whether its a raid or pvp or some other shit they feel like doing. I haven't done trials in months though, that side of the playerbase is fucking awful and killing the balance by complaining about everything. I rarely ever use lfg so I can't relate to most peoples issues with matchmaking and all that.

Diablo 3. Came back for 2 seasons, but every season the last 2/3 of it were just pure grinding. Not even listening to music/podcasts helped. I'm not even slightly considering playing the new necromancer class. Done with the game for good.

Unlike a lot of the other anons in this thread, I still play and enjoy Dota 2, 2K hours in. Yeah the game has changed, but playing with friends and alone is still the best multiplayer experience I've ever had. Looking forward to Aqua Spirit being added next.

This shit. Played the fuck out of 3. While playing 4, something felt very "pandering" and kinda boring and "safe" about it. Then I realized it's because of the new emotion system they added in. Every sim acts a certain way based on what emotion they have(happy,angry,sad). It's never based on the traits they have like in Sims 3. Because of that traits are useless and then you have every sim with the same personality no matter what traits they have. Sort of like a hive mind.

After realizing that, I've decided the game will never be fun no matter how much expansions they add in. Sims 4 is basically an arcadey version of the game. Went back to sims 3 and still have tons more fun even with the laggy shit.

I had a couple friends who played it, and it was fun with them, but they've all since bailed on it.
Not really sure why I keep going back, I don't have the time or patience to grind through the shitty missions or games for weeks in order to afford literally any of the ridiculously overpriced shit in that game. And I despise the playerbase of 14yo fucks who just want to run you over in gold-plated Bugattis nonstop for no reason. I bought a seaplane for chill flights around the map, but anytime I try to use it some random fuckhead instantly shoots me down.
When I first launched, I was in an absolutely based /o/ crew that would constantly host races in sports classics and muscle, with catch-up off and kicks for anybody who rammed other drivers on purpose. Most fun I ever had in that game.

The other game would be Trove.

Trove was an interesting concept you'd hit level 20 and based on equipment could gain another 20 levels up to 40. All items in the game (minus equipment) were consumables so if you wanted a super rare mount you essentially had to delete it from the game so only you owned it. It kept the economy constantly thriving.

The problems?

Someone could lie about being a lvl 40 and you have no way of knowing unless you look at them visually (weapons have a unique aura)

Which gives no indicator if your teammates are actually doing fucking damage.

I regret constantly replaying it different ways and modding it, it's fundamentally fucking shit and only a complete conversion like Nehrim can fix it.

Played as a warrior my first run, the leveling and loot system made it the most painful fucking time of my life. Did other builds, all sucked ass to play as, not to mention how goddamn boring the world is. The moment I came out of the sewers and saw fucking nothing interesting for the next hour (unlike Morrowind and Skyrim both of which immerse you into their worlds from the get-go) or so I had a bad feeling that turned into sheer disappointment.

I regret doing anything other than the main quests just so I could move onto Skyrim after that. Guilds sucked ass as well.

Elite Dangerous. The problem with Steam reviews is that there's no way to differentiate between an extremely good game and just a decent game, or an extremely poor game and just a subpar one.

Because it's only a yes/no question there isn't any significant scaling, so if 70% of people just kinda like a game it gets placed on the same level as a game where 70% of people think is an absolute masterpiece. Reading the actual reviews helps but it's hard to navigate it, especially if an otherwise good game just had its developer do something poorly received like implement overpriced DLC or a controversial patch, since it isn't easy to read reviews that aren't the most recent.

Game is steadily moving up in power creep. Now gameplay is 100% brainless and you just run around obliterating swathes of loot pinata enemies until a combination of random lucky bullshit happens and you get killed in one shot.

The devs have been steadily shaping the game to be more console friendly since 2014. They also kept this a secret, so all the people who spend money on supporter packs unknowingly funded a version of the game that they don't even care about.

The devs have a 'release and forget' strategy for 99% of the content, ensuring that only skills and items released in the past couple years are viable as the power keeps creeping upwards.

They probably spend more time creating cosmetics than actual game content. A new armor set comes out every month and we've been sitting on the same garbage vanilla gear assets from 2012.

I got as far as getting a Tier 7 medium tank in WoT before I realized I hated the game. Maybe 1 in every 4 rounds was actually fun, getting out-tiered is bullshit and happened all the time, and it was super frustrating when you had a bad round where you were a top-tier tank. Warframe has amazing potential and could be a killer app if DE wasn't the shittiest developer in the universe. For as much as the interact with the community that plays their game, they do their best to ignore feedback and keep pushing their shitty 'reworks' and making the grind for shitty gear worse. The problem is that the ways in which it was worse were more obvious than the ways it was better (despite running at 60 frames the game's environments looked worse, certain areas were a huge annoying pain in the ass for no good reason, soul memory was good in theory but in practice just fucked you out of doing PVP and screwed you even harder for dying and losing souls).
