Joker just has so much assholeish sass that I cant help but to love him. His costume is also styling as fuck and Last Surprise is one of the best battle themes ever. P4G happened a year after the anime, though Atlus had to fund P4GA just so their new waifu Marie can be shoehorned in (it's also rushed as hell and generally shit compared to the first season).

Do Joker's dialogue choices get better? I've only just found out about Mementos, but so far almost all of his dialogue choices have been unmemorable and bland - not to mention often just the same but worded slightly differently.

Currently Yu's the best, but Joker might move up when the inevitable anime comes out.

The thing I can't stand is the gameplay of P2 is just so bad to me. It feels worse than SMT1, mainly because there's no illusion of any resource management or difficult decisions in battle, there's outrageous grinding if you want persona, and you're just too strong in general.

Like you're getting Persona level ups out the ass for spamming the combination attacks that do insane damage, and SP recovers from walking around at an insane rate.

It's alright. Inferior storywise and character wise to all other Persona games. Arguably has better gameplay than IS and EP, but it's really not that good.

Yeah, well I wouldn't say the combat is bad - it's just the same over and over, with very few change ups. It doesn't help bosses are ridiculously easy (except Metal Trio in EP), and if you do find a random encounter you struggle with then you can just negotiate your way out of it. Not to mention your MC can die with no consequence.
What makes the combat in IS and EP off-putting is that it is so slow. At least in P1 when you turn battle animations off it goes at a very decent speed. The way the system in IS and EP works is that the animations are off, but the camera goes to every character that is damaged individually.

For some reason, Satanael resembles a Law demon more than a Chaos one. The top generals of the Law side, namely Megatron and Sandalphon, look rigid and robotic, similar to Satanael.
