Equal in size or equal in mass? If it was the latter it would probably be a tiny fucking black hole.
>>
Just the formation of the black hole would disrupt a lot of orbits. The idea that nothing would happen orbitally if a sun where suddenly swapped with a black hole implies that you just swap them instantaneously without the interim transformation process. It's a thought experiment to demystify how the pull of black holes actually works.
And it's possible the black hole is moving through space, which happens sometimes.

we don't know. If you'd enter a black hole's gravitational pull, it is predicted that part of your particles would be stuck in visible spectrum for eternity because the pull and the speed of the visible particles would cancel each other out, causing your image to freeze at that particular spot. Sooooo maybe more terrifying

I actually don't understand this post.

Are you saying there's no actual basis for dark energy existing? Because it's a widely accepted explainer for the coactive drift apart for celestial bodies. It goes hand in hand with the big bang theory in concept.

It's not just researched and accepted by universities; even DARPA and NASA have basically accepted its existence. Are you saying there's another widely accepted alterative?

It doesn't quite work like that. The speed of light is incredibly quicker than theoretical celestial expansion. I haven't been to a university because I'm not paying 50k annually to have socialist "professors" tell me that I should feel bad for being white. That being said, I've done my own personal research into dark energy and it's pretty obvious why it's false.

The universe isn't expanding, because if it started out small, why can't we see the light from the beginning of the universe? Furthermore, since the speed of light can't be measured, you can't expressly state that there's a mathematical way to calculate how far away these respective bodies are. So the fundamental basis of dark energy is false.

Go ahead and call me a racist or dumbass; it's amazing to watch pseudoscientist liberals cry and scream when presented with evidence.

>It's a gravitational anomaly situated some 200 million light years away from us, and it's pulling the Milky Way and a few other nearby galaxies towards it. The speed of light can be measured empirically by astronomical means or derived from the electromagnetic constants relative permativity (ε) and permeability (μ).

Essentially the speed of light in a vacuum has to be 299792458 m/s or electricity and magnets wouldn't work the way they do. The speed of light is different through different mediums (ex. glass, air) which sets up further mathematical proofs by measuring refraction (which first year physics students do in lab using a laser pointer and a prism.)

I'm not even a liberal, but science kikes are not the same as liberal arts kikes. There are vastly different standards of proof between the liberal arts and the sciences. In sociology for example you can create a survey and if 20% of people respond in a certain way you can publish and say whatever it is you were testing for is true. In physics you have to have correlations of like 99.9%. You can't horseshit your way around 99% correlations.

The atmospheric climate would drastically change due to the lack of heat and solar radiation so it's not exactly a wholly accurate statement on it's own though.

I get the point of the statement to demystefy the range and workings of a black hole but they needed to clarify the context of the question. It's almost autistic how they preassumed the understanding the average viewer would glean from that statement.

"In general relativity, a white hole is a hypothetical region of spacetime which cannot be entered from the outside, although matter and light can escape from it. Cosmic background radiation is the light from the begining of the universe.

The speed of light is defined as 299792458 m/s. We didn't want c to have an infinite amount of decimals, so we threw away our old definition of meter and instead said that a meter is whatever it needs to be for the speed of light to be that number. Likewise the length of a second ends up depending on your subjective measure of a meter. Any way the point is you don't measure the speed of light, it's a defined constant.

Also you don't measure the expansion of the universe by checking where something is and then comming back later to see if it moved. You look at the distribution of wavelengths in the light spectrum coming from it. You can calculate the relative velocity of a incandescent source of light without knowing the distance to it.
>>

Hard to say.
Likely, there would be no change other than the increase in mass for the black hole, since nothing can escape the singularity at the center, even the white hole from both universes ends there.

But since black holes are apparently 2d now, I don't fucking know.

Aren't black holes no exit objects? And merging of two black holes would probably result in one big black hole or two of those crashing into each other would scatter black hole matter around, depending on the masses.
>>376802076
He is talking only about the orbit, because if sun suddenly became black hole of same mass it will still retain same gravitational force and orbit will stay on the same track. And there is no heat from the sun per se, because vacuum can't transport heat, radiation causes molecules to move and they warm up due to friction or just fact of moving. I don't remember if the latter is true, though.

White holes are probably just a silly opposite idea.

But if they did exist, they probably happen once a blackhole has consumed enough matter to reach some sort of ultra critical mass, then something inside it fucking explodes and it spends the next countless aeons slowly ejecting everything it consumed.

It would feed in nicely with the big-bang>big-crunch theory.

How would white holes exist if they would have to be composed of a singularity with negative mass? Wouldn't negative mass prohibit the formation of the singularity in the first place because exotic matter would never clump up? In the distant future, we shall simply build massive spheres around blackholes. These spheres will be covered in all sorts of gravity engines. We'll use them to generate a pull outwards from the blackhole, countering its inward pull and effectively breaking it up and dissipating it. It'll be a pretty simple process, really. And we'll get enough matter and energy out of it to cover the cost of the gravity sphere.

I'll admit, I don't know how each state/district handles voter registration. I've lived in Massachusetts my whole life, and here it's just a matter of signing up for the draft when you turn 18 and you're automatically registered to vote. You can also register when doing almost any legal procedure, such as renewing your license or applying for a passport. Once you're registered, you're all set, you just show up at your polling place on election day, give your name and address which is then checked against a list of registered voters in that district, and you get your ballot.

But the statement was about an equally massive black hole. In case you don't understand what that means, in scientific fields, "Massive" essentially means having mass, an "Equally massive" object, has the same mass. Which would produce roughly the same gravitational pull.

You can't know if a dark hole with the same quantity of mass of the sun would have the exactly same amount of gravitational pull of the sun. For starters, it would be way, way smaller because of the denser mass a dark hole have. If it were too strong, earth would be pulled in the direction of the dark hole, if it were too weak, it would be pushed backwards.

Doesn't matter if it is a black hole with the same mass of the sun but small, or one with the exactly the same size of the sun. There would be a difference, a amazingly huge one.

The guy that made this video is an idiot. That is what happens when human science faggots start to talk about true science.

They are stating that when the sun collapsed into a black hole it sucked in the whole solar system. This is wrong the solar system would have been destroyed long before that point. The sun balloons into incredible sizes engulfing most if not all of the inner solar system it has. Then the chaotic forces of its solar flares and other events strips away the other planets. Gas giants either burn away or get slung out of orbit small things like asteroids get fucked from all the planets disappearing and either get slung out of system or into the sun. By the time a sun collapses into a black hole the solar system is already gone or its has just a few very far off planets with insanely huge orbits. If those planets still exist they wont really be pulled in until the black hole gains more mass somehow. Even then they are more liable to get slung out of system because of how orbits work.

So the parts of the solar system in the game got dicked by the formation of the black hole, but there's no telling how old it is, "at least two solar systems" could still be referring to whatever other system crossed paths or came into proximity of it, right?

Even that is learnable. It has got to do wtih the adaptability of our brain

Argh I can't find the terms, but basically it can be surmized as this:

If you were to do spatial IQ tests all day, your brain (intelligently) starts giving more volume space relative to the neighbouring areas to the parts that are used more often. So literally even that would be learnable.

Problem iwth IQ tests is that we have no solid definition of what intelligent is.

Some retards might find the go playing computer intelligent, even though that has 0,0 sentient intelligence.

Gravity is just a myth. The reality of it is, our souls weigh us down with the sins of our past, and our ancestors. There's too much sin for us to properly atone for, so we're stuck on earth until we die. you take out the rotating tray
you put in the hotdog
you microwave it
you measure the distance between the hot spots on the microwave. from this you get wavelength
the frequency of a microwave is known because it is designed with that in mind
speed = frequency * wavelength

For every guy who claims to know about bayesian probability there many many more who lie about knowing about bayesian probability. And since people who lie about knowing about bayesian probability are much more likely to actually talk about it (hence the lying), it's safe to say in almost all situations online that if someone tries to prove a point using bayesian porbability, they're lying.

Okay, just point me to the point where you think my argumentation is wrong:

- a lot of people lie about their iq, especially online
- for a very high iq, the ratio of people having that iq to people lying about having it becomes increasingly small
- when encountering someone online who claims to have a very high iq it's very likely that they are lying

I mean, that is just basic logic, the question is, even if you have an iq of 160, couldn't you see how others would doubt you for that very reason? Would you believe me if I said I have an iq of 154 (I don't, obviously, otherwise I wouldn't be on v shitposting my useless day away). So after spending just 5 seconds actually thinking about this, why would you ever think posting "huer i have an iq of 160" would make you actually seem intelligent?

Difference is that a black hole with the same MASS as our sun would be incredibly tiny. That black hole is a whole lot bigger.

If the black hole in the left panel would be the same SIZE as our sun, we'd be pretty fucked.

There are research being poured into this actually. With the recent discovery that there's a massive network of bacteria in the ocean floor and it acts like earth's neural network. We're still testing how fast they transmit data but it's very difficult because it's the goddamn ocean floor and no funding. We might very well be just creatures living on a giant, kinda like how our intestinal worms and face mites live in us.

>we can never measure absolute 0
Why do we need to? I get that trying to recreate an absolute 0 in the lab is something to strive for, but absolute 0 is the point where atoms stop moving completely. It has no scientific value to measure that.

Unless you're going into quantum mechanics, which I absolutely do not understand.

IQ has obviously something to do with an education, but it's not something you specifically train in school. It's something that emerges from being educated. Recognising patterns, thinking in solutions and critical analysis.

These are qualities that make you "intelligent". So yes, IQ measures intelligence in a crude manner. Saying people with an IQ of 80 can be "intelligent in their own way' is just like saying people with the Syndrome of Down are "special"

It mimics our brain's connection and there are pockets of extreme activity that spread throughout the colony (which encompass much of the earth's oceanic floor). When you map it and the human brain, it acts exactly the same but that just might be the nature of networks.

Give me some actual results. If you actually had any merit to your research, finding funding wouldn't be hard at all.

Speaking as someone who actually has been tested as having a stupid high IQ by legitimate tests, you're also leaving out that it's a fucking meaningless number. I'm good at taking tests and was in advanced placement throughout all of middle and highschool and I fucking hated ever second of it and regret it so much but then I broke down in college and it's taken me like 4 years to get my shit together to reapply. Virtually my only academic talent is pattern recognition which is literally all you need to be able to ace IQ tests, regardless of how smart you really are.
>>
>>376820115
The only research worth funding is military. There's no monetary gain in this.

>Give me some actual results.
Soon, anon. It's the very same bacteria that released gasses into the water and consequently into the atmosphere triggering a massive extinction event long ago.
>>
>>376820348

>the only research worth funding is military
So you actually have no clue how research is done. Stop making up stuff, you're spreading ignorance.

If I can find funding for a research that looks at minor color deviations in great tit breast stripes, then a research which has promise of a LIVING FUCKING EARTH would be flooded in funding.

So either you have no idea what you're talking about, or you're actually doing research but grossly misunderstanding your own results.
>>
>>376800595
Not for a landwhale.
>>
>>376820583
You are grossly underestimating the cost of hiring a fucking boat with a small science submarine just to probe bacteria in the ocean floor in hopes of getting a reaction from the other side of the planet. In any case, the research is on going just not fast enough to matter in our lifetime.
