Futaba and Makoto make the most out of the story since they're the most directly involved. Eg. The scene with Makoto breaking into sobs at home is a little more relevant if you know she's also crying out of fear that her lover will bet killed if their plan fails, Futaba standing in your room after you come home, etc etc

The only reason I think that the main behind what Ohya was investigating being Shido is funny is because I finished her near the end of the game and this was when the game was trying to connect everyone to Shido but then just stopped at Ann and Ryuji. I was hoping they were going to reveal that Akechi killed all of Kamoshida's competition at the Olympics.

Yeah, Kamoshida and Madarame made it feel almost Dark Souls ish, but getting all the shortcuts was pretty much pointless since there was no reason to use them.

Still, I think it was for the best. Having to trek right back to the start anytime I wanted to change party members or fuse Persona would have been a drag. Far harder to create levels like that too.

The biggest thing for me is that Madarame was the last time we actually STOLE the treasure. After that the boss always just met us there and we had a boss fight, didn't feel like Phantom Thieves in the same way as lowering Morgana mission impossible style.

Kamoshida yes, Madarame felt like filler. He was easily the weakest reasoning they had, it wasn't until he admitted to letting Yosuke's mother die I really felt invested.

We never see any of the mentioned abuse and ultimately plagiarism just isn't as engrossing as rape, threats, murder, Yakuza, and all the other stuff.

He also served as an example why Akechi's arc was dumb
