Well nah, ignoring the fact there's a million billion "brave adventurers" that can solo the lich king, the plot of wrath clearly stated that getting to lk through icecrown was a suicidal yolo mission and that basically there's so much scourge that if it was to lose its hive mind for a second would immediately infest all of Azeroth
