Assuming this isnt a samefagging thread, does this thing require software to use or does it map itself to the number keys like the early nagas?

It's buttons are placed oddly (only the two on the side feel right) and it's hard to clean, but it feels comfortable to grip and is nice for fps games.

The pure utility of mmo mice have spoiled me. It fixes all the shitty keybinding choices in old games and complex games with large amounts of menus.

You can use software to map the buttons to any keys you want.

I think it defaults to the number keys without the software.

I have your mouse OP. I need a new one though, it keeps randomly holding the side buttons down so in games I either get melee spam or it stops working altogether. When I'm in a message window like this I occasionally get 66666666666666666 etc. Weirdly it happens on the same button for about a week then changes to a new button. It can happen with multiple, sometimes 4-5 at once will stop working. It doesn't matter if I have the logitech mouse software installed or not. The mouse itself works fine but I've had to unbind the extra buttons which defeats the point of it. I might just get a deathadder or something simple but good.

I had a G600 that lasted 4 years before it started double clicking so I figured maybe their new mice would be higher quality

I'm going to try a zowie next. The only thing I'll miss about logitech mice is all the cool things you can do like assign macros to the buttons, I usually use that stuff so I can change/pause music without removing my hand from wasd or the mouse.

Back when I sold electronics I tell what would sell and what wouldn't and it never mattered. All they wanted to do was push the newest thing.

Microsoft never re-releases anything, I just wish some third party would have bought the casts and made them under a different title. Only other mouse I use is an HP that came with a computer I bought for my mom, she prefers a ball to laser.

I use a hybrid. I use big palm grip mice but hold them with the base of my wrist and fingertips touching the mouse itself. Claw grip mice are small and not precise enough IMO, but big mice allow me to do both.

>>
>>376751808
does a stupid mouse like that even help in MMOs? I remember Blizzard had something similar for WoW, always wanted to try it
>>
>>376755381
K, have fun with your shit MMO
>>
>>376755525
No.
>>
>>376755525
It helps in FFXIV. I use my right hand for healing and my left hand for dealing damage with my AST. It also holds all of my major cooldowns.

Ideally I would have all of that shit bound to my keyboard but I own a K70 which is tragically small for binding things like shift + f. In hindsight buying a gaming mouse to supplement my shitty gaming keyboard was a bad idea.
>>
>>376755525
You can legit play the whole game one handed. G600 has a ring finger button to alternate the numpad, so you have 24 side buttons and can switch between 3 presets. 72 shortcuts only using the left pad without removing your hand from the mouse, plus being able to remap the DPI switch to a custom input, and the mouse wheel left/right tilt etc. Get one, they spoil you.

Logitech G Pro is fucking bae. Upgraded to that from the shitty original Rival.
>>
>>376756146
Your peenus weanus, of course.

It's comfy to play games on a night with a drink in one hand, or eating or w/e. I often have a cup of tea or some trail mix without having to worry about diminished APM, or in shit like Overwatch being able to bind all voice commands to your right thumb means absolutely zero delay in communicating. My numpad has push to talk, emotes, sprays, all voice commands, and melee. My left hand just has movement and abilities.

>>
holy fuck i love this mouse, best one i have ever fucking used
>>
>>376756750
Their PSU's are fine. Stay away from RBG anything though, particularly the peripherals.
>>
>>376756750
If your going mouse don't pay more than 50, the quality tops out. Keyboards are more varied though so you may want to look up reviews of specific models.
>>
>>376756580
Not a terrible game, it just pales in comparison to other MMOs. The animations are atrocious and the dialogue system is poor. All of the races in the game, just like FFXIV, are all basically just variants of humans.
>>
>>376752980
Are you kidding me?
I have one of these and almost every extra button feels super natural and easy to press
It's a bit too small to properly palm grip, but most of the time I have my hand resting on it like that, just with my palm hanging off the back a bit
>>
>>376756750
Good keyboards, but get a Ducky keyboard and a Zowie or Deathadder mouse if you want the best laser. I can't recommend Logitech honestly as a long-time user, their software isn't up to it and buttons just stop working.
>>
>>376757120
You do know that people have a wide variety of different hand sizes, right?
>>
>>376756750
Using a K70 and M65 here, haven't encountered any problems. I know they just released a new ergonomics-orientated mouse but it just looks eh compared to the M65 and the Scimitar (MMO mouse).

I've got this mouse, and only these buttons are kinda inconvenient. Otherwise I am very happy with it.

Came from a g600s I think, which I miss the extra buttons from, but I've adapted. Would recommend.

By default it has 3 profiles you can toggle through with that bottom button on top of the mouse. The defaults rotate between 1-0~ keys, 0-9 numpad, and 1-6~ with some other functions like changing the mouse cursor speed (held + toggle)

If the software would behave 24/7 I'd never be in the market for another. As-is though, the thing bugs out from time to time. Almost never in game except for the one G-shift function. (see: hold this to change meh mouse speed to [insert set value here] )

If you do that, it'll freak out and the non-basic keys won't work, forcing you to tab out and relaunch the program. It's much more likely to happen outside the game when you're using, say, a browser or something. No idea how to fix it either. FML.

Simple design, probably the best sensor on the market, it's light, and it has great mouse buttons

That being said, the mousewheel is absolutely terrible, and the shape definitely isn't for everyone.
