I'm mildly interested to see how the combat gets fleshed out. The original games were pretty fucking boring gameplay wise so taking it in an entirely new direction sounds like a good idea to me. Slower combat could be cool as long as you need to properly dodge and maneuver around enemy attacks. It'll make crowd control more interesting at the very least.

I'm still on the fence until we see more of the game at this upcoming E3. I can't say I'm very happy with what's shown, but SMS said that what they originally showed wasn't indicative of the main gameplay style.

The boss fight really wasn't that cool anon. It looked slow and lumbering, and its attacks seemed pitifully easy to dodge. Like a Dark Souls boss without any of the elements that make them cool or interesting.

It is a ton of fun but playing with randoms online can be infuriating because sometimes they fucking suck.
But unlike most multiplayer games there are actually some decent players aswell. It isn't all shit.

The combat sections are easily the best part of the game and one set piece sequence is propably the 20 or so best minutes of gameplay i haver played of any game in like 5-10 years.

The story and narrative is really well executed. The best in the indstry at that but the problem is that the slower paced stuff can sometimes be extremely fucking boring. Sometimes its alright because the scenery and the story at that point is more calm and it feels nice to just walk around for a bit but then there is like huge chunks where you basically don't do much and its just agony.

The encounters are set up to cater to loads of different playstyles and strategies so they're fairly replayable.

One thing you don't get with the encounter select menu is the full stealth options though. In the actual campaign you can bypass several encounters altogether with stealth or just take out a few guards and continue on undetected. In the encounter select you can't really do that for obvious reasons
