Deepnest was actually good, you felt like you weren't supposed to be there, especially if you got lost and shit after Fungal Wastes. The Abyss and Ancient Basin were the worst areas (maybe Fog Canyon), devoid of interesting enemies or challenges (except for one specific boss in Ancient Basin). No fucking music either.

In most cases you can bait him,into attacking you, just back away until he's at the edge of the platform you're both on. If you have the space above, jump. If you don't, find a shaft and poke him from below.

Nah, it was decent just for the atmosphere. Only part that really annoyed me was the centipede platforming.

I'd say the worst was probably Fog Canyon. Not a very interesting area, with only the Teacher's Archives and a notch of note, annoying big jellyfish enemies, and it takes way too long to get the map considering how soon you can reach it.

Also assuming White Palace doesn't count.
