Why? The game is about Freedom and in the end Joker beats the rigged game and earns that Freedom. Not everything has to involve the MC suffering. It fit P3 because that game was about Death, but having Joker finally earn the right to live his life the way he wants to live it while giving other people the hope to do the same was a perfectly fitting ending. Just sticking him in prison seems like ti would have come off as melodramatic.

Considering his ultimate persona is literally Satan who is confined to hell it fits pretty well to me. Again, I think the whole game has some seriously muddled themeing and messaging. 1080p30fps on current gen. 720p30fps on ps3. the differences end there, you cant go wrong on last or current gen p5. this isnt an open world game that would have huge gaps between console gens.

The Satanael scene was great. It's something the last two Persona games have always done well.

I'm just saying a lot of the stuff you have to do before and after that diminish its worth for me. It's such a long buildup, and the payoff is worth it for that scene, but then there's even more plotbombs to wade through after.

It just seems like it would have been forced drama to me. I'm sure the game could have had an ending that wasn't as happy, but taking the game in it's current state the ending fits just fine. It's a positive game, with a positive message and a positive ending to reflect that. It's about fighting through the oppression to live the life you want to live, not saying that there's no point in fighting because you can't beat the system.

This I do agree with and I think either Ryuji should have died that one time or Morgana should have stayed away. I like both characters, but I think if they were actually done for when it seemed that they were, it would have been fitting and added to the stakes as well as the emotional investment the characters ha din the case of Ryuji. Though they probably wanted to keep them all around for the spinoffs. At the very least, there should have been special requirements to keep the both of them alive.

This definitely was a big part of it. After Futaba joins, it seems like everything involving the party was plot. Even Haru's welcoming party was just plot. It's like they threw away any possibility of casual jokes once the party started to fill out.
