We used to get the same kind of banter and chatting happening directly inside of the /v/ thread before it all moved to discord. It's really not that hard to set your mobile device up to auto-refresh the thread. There's enough time for a little posting/banter between each race.


The bottom line with discord though is that it's -literally- reddit or whatever you want to call it. If you want to do stuff with 4chan, do it on 4chan inside of 4chan discussions. Once you start involving third parties and alternate networking methods, you stop being "4chan" and start being something else.
