Nightblade is my jam. Using stealth magic, daggers, and npc manipulation magic can be pretty fun. Sometimes my playthroughs also alternate between full-on pacifism, mass murder and just assassinating particular targets that suit my roleplay/character motives. Nightblades are also fun to play as in Morrowind, and not as much in Skyrim because of how stripped down the game is mechanics-wise. It's not fun, even painful to play a manipulative stealthy pacifist type of character.

Guys, i dont want to make a new thread for a single question.

What mods should i install to make morrowind not retarded?

Im ok with looks, its fine, i mean battles, role system, dialogues if possible? I jsut cant stand those three combined. If any of those was made well i'd be ok, but fighting is awful no matter what you use, sword or magic. Because of that, the progression feels really slow and not rewarding. This level i hit a rat 3 times because rng decided that way, next level i hit mudcrab 4 times because rng decided this way, even tho i fucking stay in the mudcrab.

If it was an isometric rpg or turn based rpg then i'd be ok, but first\third person realtime? bullshit.

Archery doesn't get boring as quickly as melee though, memes aside.

Combat never really bothered me that much, so can't help you there, but look for the LGNPC series of mods. It revamps a ton of the NPC dialogue, so not everyone's a walking wikipedia, and it adds a lot of small sidequests that really flesh out the different towns.

Not really, Enemies ''scale'' with your level but you'll always be able to overcome any challenge. If it is too damage spongey for you (although that should never be a problem if you at least leveled up on damage/fighting stat) then you can just turn down the difficulty since its just a slider.

I played a redguard monk, there is literally nothing more satisfying than doing burglaries and home invasions and sneak punching people in bed to death.

Thinking about giving Oblivion a shot, never played it before. Saved this flowchart in a thread a long time ago. Would anyone recommend following it? Modifications to it? I don't like the idea of level scaling at all, from what I've read about it. What mods would you guys suggest for a first playthrough? I really like Morrowind, if that has any bearing on what I should install.

I just recently played through using almost entirely conjuration. It was really a lot of fun. Never equipped a weapon I wasn't forced to. Also: he was a breton and found a mundane ring way early which was awesome.
