It's pretty obviously inspired by it. You've got mystical beings that have crazy abilities float behind you that come about from each individual. Hell, Persona 4 is centered around a small town group of people coming together to take down a serial killer who kills using magical methods.

It's pretty blatant, but it's certainly not a bad source material to grab from.

It's actually inspired by Jungian psychology - the terms Persona and shadow are lifted wholesale from it, as is Philemon.

But yes, a lot of the details and presentation are cribbed from JJBA. Note that this isn't necessarily a bad thing, JoJo is a HUGE classic in Japan, with a extremely long-lasting (it predates Dragon Ball) manga, and referencing it in many forms of media are common.

Persona was a spin off of the SMT games, but it was released in 1996. JoJo part 3 (where stands were introduced) ran from 1989 to 1992.
The original persona might not be too influenced, but the similarities from Persona 3 onwards are probably a little more than just a coincidence.
