I've had and sold 3 different models of 3DSs. Played Mh4u and 3u. Now I have the itch to play MH and regret selling them...

Best options would be Portable 3rd on PSP, Tri Ultimate on WiiU or 4 Ultimate if you have the 3DS.
The other games are also good, but those are the best for beginners, especially 4U.
