Man, the Japanese cover looks strikingly better. It always dumbfounds me how Japanese covers always look tasteful, unique, and excellent - where as American covers look mundane and awful.

Binary Domain was a great game, but that American box art is a tradegy. It looks like they hired someone from a college art course to draw in colored pencils.

Even /v/ didn't really know of it until it started popping up in Steam sales and the handful of people who tried it began mentioning it in the "underrated gems" threads.

Any website was busy giving coverage to any game with an actual marketing budget, which is Sega's fault. Very few people bought the game on release too, even in Japan.

I bought Binary Domain at launch. I still play with Japanese players late at night sometimes. Great game.

They patched the bug. The mouse aiming is still not great because there is still some acceleration there but the game is more than playable now.

There are a bunch of them that are better but don't kid yourself. A lot of Japanese covers are jumbled up messes that try to fit all the main characters into the image and look generic as fuck.
