Wow! The music, the story, the gameplay, the game lived up to its rep better than I expected.
I want to jump straight back in with a mod. Preferably something to improve the godawful AI, but also improvements to the graphics (especially the weapons). There's a lot of mods to choose from, which is the best?
>improve the godawful AI

Pls. GMDX improves the AI considerably, among a billion other things. It's the only mod you should consider playing.

>ESTIMATED v9.0 RELEASE DATE: 1st June 2017
fug, now I have to wait for this shit
How come this game is so hard to replicate despite having better technology now than we did back then compared to Deus Ex's release? The soundtrack is catchy as hell, the world itself is genuinely interesting with probably the best conspiracy concepts ever explored in a game, the levels have so much going on and ways to approach enemies, and the combat is just so fun because of how you got to keep track of every part of your body and how upgrading genuinely matters for getting better handling of your guns or not wasting so much items for actions. Theres some quirks like tranq darts not knocking out foes immediately but its fucking great.
Was Deus Ex a happy accident or what?

Considering how terrible DXIW was it's probably a safe bet to say that it was just dumb luck that the game turned out to be that good.

You can participate in the Version 9 beta right now, actually. givemedeusex.com
We're getting new weap models apparently, pic related.

Oh I didn't notice it was public beta, sweet.
Time to reinstall I guess. Do I need a steam version for that or will GOG one do just as fine?
>>376690346
Don't think it matters. Shit probably works on old CD copies of the game.

It also shows a lot of the problems Human Revolution has with the Unreal Revolution mod, granted HR wasnt that bad.
Hmm, I may actually just wait until that GMDX releases. Looks incredible.
