General rule though is avoid giving it to dedicated casters like Kloe or Renne, they don't benefit from it nearly as much as a dedicated physical attacker would.

Yes. Didn't matter in the previous games because you just spammed time magic.
Although it didn't really matter in this battle either because, for some stupid reason, I didn't equip Kloe with either fire or earth magics.
So, like most non-boss battles it just was a matter of positioning the enemies and letting Tita take care of them all.

I find that elemental weakness were much less important in this game despite them adding time/mirage/space. Most weaknesses were either mirage or space with very few enemies having a significant weakness to magic.

Generally I would agree with you but these games are very story heavy and build on top of each other. Its not designed in any way to skip games the 3rd having zero tutorial of any kind, the lore dumps in the doors build on top of previously established plot lines you know nothing about by skipping games.

I really hope the finale of the trails series is just a giant mash up of major characters we have seen across all the arcs confronting the grandmaster.

I wonder how long the series will take to be finished I'm honestly expecting it to take at least another 10 years before we see the end of it. Next arc will almost certainly be Calvard. And there'll be an arc involving the Grandmaster as well. So at least two assuming the games don't tank and they cancel the series. They'll probably choose a more neutral location for the Grandmaster games, so maybe it'll be in some artifact like 3rd or maybe in the Holy City. There's also Leman as a potential setting.

I'm so glad that shit didn't get censored. They are intentionally really vague about what happened but it was an extremely dark contrast to the rest of the series. I really can see why they put it there and put it at the very end of the trilogy. Easily one of my favorite moments of the trilogy along with Kevin revealing his stigma in chapter 4.
