Well considering Arms comes out the Friday of E3 week, that game.

Then following that, Xenoblade 2, assuming 2017 release date is global.

Then Splatoon 2 due to the many new additions being added to keep it "fresh".

Finally Mario is on the backburner because 3D Mario games are all at least very good so I don't really have high expectations going into it and expect at least a very good game.

Its between ARMS and Mario. I love Xenoblade, but ARMS is exciting because it's new, and Mario has never really let me down.

I'm expecting it to be lackluster for first party titles but we'll see a good amount of third party come in and show support. I'm fully expecting this to be the time where they'll try showing to people "hey we got those games you like on PS4 too!" so they can get people during the holidays to put more focus on it.

When did this happen? The only developers I can recall dismissing the system publicly are the Titanfall devs. Outside of them most companies have been claiming they want to show support and we're already seeing surprises like Payday 2.

It seemed to me third parties wanted to gauge interest first before starting development for the system just in case it was another Wii-U situation. Now that they know there's potential there this would be the time they would start announcing plans for it.

If they don't start building a third party presence now then the Switch is fucked which I doubt Nintendo wants to go through again.

The top selling Nintendo games completely eclipse top selling first party games of other systems, even with few hardware sales, Nintendo does produce games that people want to play more than other first parties, no other company could rely on their first party games to float a system.
