Sonic 06 is a great game at its core. It's a shame that it ran into development issues. Would've been just as good as SA1 and 2 otherwise.

This makes more sense thematically when you consider events from 2 tie into it. Also 3 heroes per team. SA3. But then you consider it doesn't exactly follow the same format as the previous titles. In 1 at least it was common for multiple characters to share a level but how you got through it as each individual character was vastly different. Heroes just has you going through the same levels, near same exact routes, etc. I also don't consider heroes or 06 to be an adventure game based on the simple fact there isn't a chao garden in either which I know is an opinion a lot of people share.

This. It kinda is as good as SA1 and 2 but the loading times, glitches, and overall lack of polish make it really bad sometimes. It's STILL better than games like Colors, Lost World, and Boom though, without a doubt.
