I don't really care for either game, but from my understanding, Injustice 2 will have a load of single player content, from story mode to whatever leveling RPG esque tower thing right in the day 1 package.
Meanwhile day 1 SFV didn't even let you play vs ai or have any combo trials. It looked like an absolute joke compared to, at the time, Guilty Gear, which released months prior and was brimming with content.

Also, it's hard to complain about a game that lets you unlock characters by getting good online. I haven't spent a penny after purchasing it.
Also the "grindy" model ensures someone is always playing it online. Short wait times for matches.

There are many interpretations to the character. My favorites are the ones that have him as an almost perfect ideal, what humans should strive to be. He's the most powerful of all super beings (not technically, but you know what I mean), yet he doesn't choose to lord over the world, he isn't a bully, he isn't a macho man, he doesn't go sarcastic etc. He chooses to believe in the potential of everyone, he chooses to believe that even his worst enemy could potentially be redeemed and has a good side to him. And that also doesn't mean he's a pussy when it comes to dealing with tough situations, since he knows how to fight pretty damn well if needed.
My favorite interpretations of the character also have him as an adult late 30s man, someone who's a father figure, a mature person, which distinguishes him from many other heroes, who are constantly struggling with young adults' problems and multiple girls and hiding their identities from their parents etc. He just wants a family, he just wants to help his parents with the family farm, he wants to help people both as Superman and as a reporter, among other things.
Having said that, because I have this image of what Superman is to me, I also enjoy the what if scenarios, like the Injustice one, which is a classic (What if Superman decided to rule the world?).
He's my favorite, don't write him off. Give him a chance.

I don't care what they want to do with the story, but it sucks that it's the Superman you're stuck with in multiplayer too. At least in the first game the default was normal Superman and emperor Superman was an alt. If you want to play Superman in this game you're stuck with asshole Superman.

Any gameplay of Superman shown over the past year? You can change the gear but the voicelines for all of the characters are their story versions. Premier skins are the only things that change lines/voice and Superman doesn't have one.

Who knows, might not end up playing any of them if I don't like their playstyle.
Honestly, most characters have something appealing (Harley and Joker notwithstanding) from what I've seen so I just gotta play and see.
