Hmm... Not sure. The crediting was fairly bad. Unlikely, the girl who played Jill live action was just a 15 year old school girl living in Japan credited as "lnzeh". Aparently Mikami found her difficult to deal with but to fair, the shoot they were on was hot and they were all getting bit to fuck by mosquitos. If you think Inzeh looks tired and pissed off as fuck in the live action, its because she was. Mikami used that footage for exactly that reason

Interestingly not only was Inzeh only 15 when hired to play Jill, but a few years later, Julia Voth was also only 15 and living in Japan when hired to have her face scanned as the likeness for REmake Jill Valentine.

When creating The rebecca cowgirl costume for Resident Evil REmake, Capcom oddly reused assetts from Jills lower half without shrinking them down to normal size.

You can see this for yourself clearly if you have Resident evil 0HD. Scroll through all if her alt costumes and you will see that Only with the cowgirl costume, Rebecca is carrying way more ass, wider hips and her lower half is thicker in general, oweing to the cut and pasting from Jill, a bigger, thicker older woman.

Okay....

Back in RE2's before release days the scene involving the Licker... As you aproached the blood stain on the floor a zombie head was supposed to drop from the ceiling first before the Licker (this was on the demo disc) but this event was obviously removed from the final game.

HOWEVER! The data for the twisted off Zombie head is still in the room! On the PS1 version, after killing or avoiding the Licker the head can be seen stuck to the ceiling or a pipe along the ceiling. Whem you leve the room and come back, the head will be missing.

The area around his mouth, nose and ears are pasted on after. Notice the skin color change. It's pretty blatant. I guess someone looked at it, and didn't like his expression so they changed it.

The gun is a composite of at least two guns too. Past the hand it's a shotgun. However, on his body, it's something else. It looks confused and not even sure what they're going for.

It's a picture from an actual legitimate US police force air aviation team by the looks of it.

Most teams are made up of 11 members, so the 12 in the photograph is realistic.

If you look closely however you can see that the group shot was overlayed onto the helicopter photograph.

The bottom of the image has a different texture, and the grey concrete the helicopter is resting on does not blend into it at all.

So yeah, it's two separate images.

btw, much of RE2 doesn't make a lot of sense. Your character wants to leave but just sorta follows vague hints that just happen to pay off. I can't figure out why they go on the elevator to the lab. I don't think they've heard of a train out of town until they get to the lab. But ti's been a while.

Also a lab like that woud be the safest place in an outbreak. They'd just lock down and it's very easy to control who gets in/out.

Mass infection only occurred when Hunk's team raided Birkin's lab and the T-Virus samples got smashed in the sewers and picked up by rats. I'm guessing there were plenty of infected animals in the forest which is what got the initial hikers but the mansion was far enough out of the way to where it was really only in that immediate area.

Speaking of adding things after the fact. Each time they revisit the Racoon City setting, they add more people, and events. So initially there were 4 survivors. Then more. And more. And Umbrella dropped like a hundred guys onto the streets for some reason. (The Mercs were one of the most pointless additions in RE3, and RE3 has a lot of pointless additions). And Wesker paid a visit and fought some other guys. And there was this Rusisan villain too. And numerous helicopters were flying in and out, dropping people off, or picking them up. Racoon City was really busy in the last few days.

Much of the PSX RE games in general don't make any sense but I don't think it detracts at all from it. It's a testament to just how well they nailed everything that the illogical nature of a lot of it, even if you're aware, doesn't really bug you. Raccoon City per RE3 is laid out like a Japanese city which makes no sense but damn if they didn't nail the atmosphere. It's something they were never really able to recreate in either the post-RE3 games (except maybe the pre-castle portions of RE4) or Dino Crisis. DC1 is a very sterile game in terms of the setting which isn't enough to make up for the lack of characters; thankfully DC2's setting is much better and has the double physical perfection of Regina and Paula.

It shows how well and truly fucked the situation in Raccoon City is that this team of presumably some of the top soldiers in Umbrella's employ got completely wiped out. Plus Mikhail, Nicholai and Carlos are all pretty cool and there's some great moments that come from the Mercs' presence (i.e. the dead UCBS and girl in the clock tower and his journal about it).

The UCBS weren't really needed. Their plan made no sense, as they were just dropped off randomly to die. Proper assault rifles should have completely wrecked zombies, how they are taken out with only a few 9mm handguns. And it turns out that yet again Umbrella sent them to their deaths to do live testing in real world scenarios. Lame. The UCBS characters could have been anything else, including Umbrella security from the labs instead of flown in.

Re3 is just rushed and very weak. Worst of the PS1 REs.

Real world zombie outbreak like Re would be pretty easy to fix. Zombies only get super strong in the backstory or cutscenes. In games a simple handgun is enough to handle most enemies.
