Spanish guy here, played 3 and 4 and currently 5. Literally nobody here knows the series because it isn't translated and even if it was everything not FIFA or CoD related sells like shit (BotW only sold 50.000 copies for example).

Europe only plays fifa and soccer games. None of them buy anything else, but companies that do both to release there like the constant marketing data. It's inferior to Japan's but WAY more on the ball than US sale data. They mostly get US hand me downs because of it, as even though UK data is really nice there's just so much more money in America. Unless aforementioned soccer is involved, then they'll get it first and make more money than a big US release.

There was a period of time where Europe was getting all of those RPGs like Pandora's Tower for the Wii before America. We also get the occasional game that American localisation teams refuse to localize so we get them instead, although that's also mostly Nintendo shit. - Still, I remember having NPC Pikmin 2 for years and hearing Americans complain about not getting it.

I played Persona 4 when I was in highschool and this was the game that helped me learn English back then.
The fact that Atlus don't translate their game in any other language than English is a big hindrance to most European countries though
