I finally got the Persona 5 platinum and have now completely finished the game I had been waiting years for.

Speaking of SMT, what is considered the best one? Is Nocturne better than DDS and SMT4/A?
>>376628742
play the game using 1 fewer character.
you have to play as if they dont exist at all, you must minimize your time spent with them to the absolute low.
after that add one additional char every playthrough until you have as many friends in game as you do irl

You won't find a consensus answer, but of the mainline entries, Nocturne and SJ are the favorites.
>>376628742
Wait for the countless spinoffs.
>>376632120
>Is Nocturne better than DDS and SMT4/A?
They're all worth playing, I can't really say which is the best because of different mechanics. And because the actual best one is Strange Journey.

i don't really want to platinum this game. in my experience, platinuming games gives me a feeling of completely finishing the game with absolutely nothing else to do in it and no reason to play it anymore. i like persona 5 too much for that
>>376632613
>Wait for the countless spinoffs.
Can't wait for Persona Q-2. I want to see Fuuka and Futaba interact.
>>376633042
I agree, but that gives me a reason to do it. It feels like completing my love for the game and showing how much I liked it. You can always play it again in a year or two for fun.
>>376633042
Same here. I'm at 83% and haven't played it in a few days.

Nocturne is the one that feels the most fleshed out. There's so much to do and it goes on for so long that it feels like a more complete experience than the others, the most complete SMT experience where you get to see the best the series has to offer in challenge, mechanics, dungeons, etc. That said, it's much more tiring than the others and has a worse (but not bad in itself) setting to 1, 2 and 4, where instead of being in a struggling nearly-dead world, you're in a world that is genuinely fucked and there aren't even enclaves of human survival left, which can make it feel empty and hopeless at times. Still, it is probably the best SMT game regardless just because of the scale and quality.
I know that feel OP.
>waiting years for P5
>counting down the days til its release
>finish it yesterday
>enjoyed the game slightly less than expected, especially how extremely rushed and anticlimactic the last few months are
>and.. it's over
>no P6 probably until 2022 or something
>will be even more inappropriately aged to play it
seriously depressing

>enjoyed the game slightly less than expected
You don't know my feel, then.

Persona games are difficult to replay after the first new game+ playthrough for me. Mostly because of the pacing of the story and the little to no variety when it comes to environments. Remember in most JRPGs, you travel all over the world seeing new environments all the time, this makes everything seem fresh and you can associate a specific point of the game with the area you were in.
I platinum'd Persona 4: Golden four years ago and even though I love the game, I don't feel like replaying it for at least four more years.

>tfw Persona 5 was my 'welp I can't die until I've played this' game
>>376628742
Play other games until they release the inevitably P5 spin-offs.
Then you just play those until P6 comes out.

Time to be an hero.
