This is a matter for the publisher and the developer, not Sony. Porting to the PS4 from the PS2, from what I understand, is actually not a huge deal.

Ask Bandai what they need to make this happen. Worse case scenario they'll ignore you or tell you to piss off. Best case scenario you get an actual answer.

Sold like shit on the ps2. And for a very good reason. Fuck bamco for being jews.

The original .hack games were too short for each volume and yet they charged a full 50 bucks for each. I think vol 2 was only like 10 hours if you rush through it.

50 bucks x 4 volumes, each short as fuck for rpg standards.

.GU series has better gameplay but still short as fuck.

50 bucks x 3 volumes. No wonder they didn't sell well.

it cost bamco money to port shit. And they don't see .hack as a profitable series so they think they will lose money to port it.

The story is not bad, but the gameplay of the first set of .hack games is horrible.
.GU has much better gameplay.

Both series are not worth the money they charged for it due to how short each volume is. It's basically one game split into 4 parts. 3 parts for GU series.
