Taking outposts is one of the most liked things about the franchise. In Blood Dragon you could reset them to take all over again, in 4 there were challenges to take them. You just cant remove outposts

Those are the least of the problems that game has. The malaria shit got tedious quick, the enemy could see through walls (at least they could on the pc version never played it again after it released) and the game just looked butt ugly due to the poor optimization as you said. Loved the guns.

The reason dinosaurs suck in games is because they put them in action games and they give the player a gun to mow them down. That's not how dinosaur games should work. Guns work well in games like far cry because the enemies also have them and can kill you from the same distance you can kill them. Dinosaurs can only kill you by putting you in their mouth or claw. The point of attack has to be the same for enemy and player.

Make it a stealth game where the player is helpless to defend themselves and it would be so much more interesting. Make it so you have to haul ass while being chased and it would be leagues better

Primal wasn't that much worse than 3/4, and visually it was better. The game was just not fun since bows/spears/clubs gets boring as fuck so fast. Atleast in 3/4 you have explosives and vehicles.

I really liked it, driving through the savannah while shooting brown people, good gameplay and pretty decent AI, excellent athmosphere through visuals (lightning, colour scheme, fire), UI (barely anything, physical map) and gameplay mechanics (again fire, fast travel limited to bus, jamming and such). Improved by Dylan's mod- rebalanced damage models and weapons, shops and more. Fun game would play again

Vanilla was okay, Dylan's mod was great. It gave you wingsuit right away, and rebalanced crafting and shopping to be more engaging, plus misc things like making mercenaries not wear bright red colous. Just flying around with my wingsuit, destroying camps in various ways. I got 120 hours out of it, actually, which is a little surprising to me
