the first one has up to 3 player story co-op. i dont think the 2nd one had campaign co-op but i cant remember. both games have an a mode called escalation where you can do co-op and battle waves of enemies.

Same deal as Space Marine, they are fun but nothing special unless you're into the franchise, the devs show a level of respect for the source material that is rarely seen in licensed games which gives to diehard fans a good time.

Both High Moon Transformers games are good. I wouldn't call them must-plays for everyone, but if you like TPSs or Transformers, definitely worth a playthrough.

I remember spending many nights playing the online multiplayer and escalation mode. If you're a Tformers fan, it definitely adds to the overall enjoyment. Goddamn, I'd kill for a stand-alone multiplayer component.

It's a good game on it's own, but for fans of the series it's AMAZING.

the multiplayer was top tier. i loved the insecticon skins in fall.

It's a small thing to some but I remember playing Fall with a good pair of headphones and god DAMN the sound design was tight. Explosions, bass booms, ROLL OUT noises, voice work, everything was aural sex.

Had the biggest goofy shit-eating grin for most of the games, too. If you don't give a shit about transforming robots it's probably just a lot of overblown nonsense, though.

what i really liked doing was being in vehicle mode going at high speed and then transforming. i loved how you would slide a bit while shooting after that it looked kickass

Prime is a decent cartoon but no, they're not related.

The Cybertron games are surprisingly competent TPS games with a lot of love and care put into them as far as the settings and characters go. You'll probably enjoy them if you're looking for big dumb loud robot action, even if you aren't big into the franchise.

Devastation is your typical Platinum action game with a G1 skin. You probably won't enjoy that one unless you're a big Transformers fan.

I only played War for Cybertron but the multiplayer was surprisingly really fun, especially the Scientist class

TFPrime was excellent. The two games + Prime were the greatest G1 reboot adult fans could have ever asked for. Many TF fans would disagree but it's one of the most nitpicky fanbases I've ever seen/been a part of. The games and show were made by two completely different creative teams so some small details contradict, but overall they flow together nicely as hasbro wanted to get the general lore correct and really give the fans something good. Highly recommended. Prime is on netflix last I saw.

They're good third person shooters but dont do anything new, worth playing if you're a TF nerd like me. Now, if you're really just in it for the license check out Transformers Devastation because its fucking incredible.

At first its just a pretty good game, then you play the hardest difficulty, then you unlock magnus and it becomes one of my favorite games ever. Holy fuck I have never been so hyped and into a fight before. I love playing as bumblebee because it makes me feel like an underdog taking on the biggest Decepticons. When it really ramps up and you're on the highest difficulty its like a fucking 3D bullet hell game with slow motion and insane moves going left and right. Its the only game where the robots actually fight and use all their moves unlike FOC/WFC where they tip toe around the main characters fighting because you would just shoot each other like any other decepticon goon. Those games are much more like generic western shooty campaigns, the gameplay isn't too deep but its well done. Devastation has mechanics up the ass, im telling you, dog.

I've never played a platinum game so sorry if im gushing over basic shit, but im also the kinda guy who collects masterpiece figures if that puts it into perspective.

Playing as Bruticus actually kinda sucks. He barely has any attacks and is ridiculously slow. Just everything about the pacing of the last level, the teams working together and against each other, that was awesome. But its not like that the rest of the game.
Also the trailers piss me off because they setup awesome fights like

but those things never happen in game, even though that should be the obvious match up!
