not gonna lie, if there was a point to all the buttons and games that actually utilized it i would use that controller in a heartbeat.
>>

>if there was a point to all the buttons
It was used with the NTT Data modem which had a software cart that you could use to get online to do real life horse racing betting. I think there might have been banking and stocks software too but I'm not 100% certain on that.
>>
>>376601707
I guess you can probably map the buttons in PC if there's any kind of input to them.

Thanks

There was. It even reached N.A for a very brief period.

Japs do sure love gambling shit

I guess that's the reason why we have pachinko machines with vidya IPs chained to it along with moblieshit.
>>
>>376604709
Apparently the vidya pachinko machines are pretty rare and largely hated, even in Japan. I know someone who had to trawl through 90& of Tokyo's pachinko parlors to find the MGS one, and even then the place only had one machine out of thousands.

PSO
>>
>>376605003
>PSO

Might be a retarded question but could you even hook a GC up to a modem? I'm amazed this was a feature I knew nothing about until just now.
>>
>>376604976
PSO, pretty fucking perfect game m8.

Dreamcast PSO player here. Wish I had played it on the Gamecube at the time.

Now I just play it in offline mode for GC, and reminisce.

here's your controller bruh
>>
>>376605213
The GC had a ton of shit hidden in the bottom panels. You could even play Double Dash over LAN. I don't think more than a 5 people ever used any of that shit, but it was a thing
>>
>>376605695
you can buy a device to hook up a dreamcast to a modern wireless router.

I wish someone would make one for the gamecube
>>
>>376608329
I always knew you could play game cube over LAN but I never got the point. Did it let you play games with more than 4 people or was it just so everyone had their own TV.

fuck nintendo
>>
>>376605695
Shit man. DC PSO was my first ever online game. Long before broadband or flat-rate internet became a thing. My parents were quite shocked at the first phone bill I produced with this game. But oh, the memories. The keyboard. The grinds.
>>
>>376608462
You could play Double Dash with up to 16 people if you had 4 GCs, yeah
>>
>>376608718
OK I wonder why Kirby Airride had it though. Pretty sure you could still only play with 4 people.
