I only played on normal, so that might be why I didnt need her, but guns really felt useless damagewise. I only ever used guns to hit weakpoints for the instant win move called all out attack.

Her standard gun attack hits every enemy (because grenade launcher) but the main reason you use her is Triple Down, which is like a gun version of Swift Strike and One-Shot Kill, which is a high crit chance ability like Miracle Punch, except it does big damage as well.

Skills that get stronger after baton pass I guess. I also forgot to mention that morgana might be worth it with lucky punch, but he gets killed way too fast. The problem with both is the fact, that its to situational. Lucky punch needs to crit and you dont get to baton pass in some fights anyway. So usually I just went with the characters I mentioned because they are guaranteed to dish out damage. Only when Ann runs out of SP or shes useless because a boss is immune to fire I switch her our for either morgana to pray to RNG gods or to yusuke if I just want some extra physical damage. So yeah, the rest of the party does feel to me like some placeholders if the core-members run out of SP or the monsters are immune against their element.
