I literally contemplate suicide everytime I look at the thing.

I've been lonely and alone for all of my adult life, and finally, after fucking years of depression and lonleyness I met a woman. I brought her home, at that point I didn't even care about losing my virginity, I just wanted someone to talk too and form a semblance of an emotional bond. But when I brought her in she got all weirded out and left. I spoke to her online later trying to pretend that what happened didn't but she didn't want to talk to me, when I pressed on it's because she said she doesn't want anything to do with me because she has a history of getting into bed relationships with bad decision makers. When I asked her how that's relevant to me, she said I was a bad decision maker because she saw my Switch when it has no good games and shit specs compared to literally any other console or PC. I literally feel like killing myself every time I see it.

To make matter worse, I later saw her (this was like a month later, she works near my house it's how I even met her in the first place) with a fucking black guy the other day and I overheard him telling her about his new PS4 Pro.

Been playing Mario Kart. I played Zelda, beat the game with 20 percent completion. Bought Shovel Knight Treasure Trove, that was pretty awesome. Now I'm getting 3 stars on all Mario Kart 8 modes, but this game is such fucking bullshit. AI cheats like no tomorrow. Online is shitty. Not enough features. But at least there's a rank system.

Every spell and item is beneficial to you (except Charm because it's bugged) and every boss has a strategy to it that doesn't require a specific set up to beat it. The game doesn't even get hard until you clear it four times and that's only at the dungeon and onward. Also, the second character you unlock is one of the best in the game with an absurdly good inate abililty.

I'm enjoying the system, though. I'm actually probably going to buy another whenever they decide to stop faking scarcity, because my kids want to play all the time, and sharing a handheld isn't exactly ideal. We didn't have a Wii U, though so Mario Kart 8 is new to us, and I'd never want to play a Disgaea game on a TV.

Snipperclips is probably one of the best cooperative games of this or last generation, too.

Not so much feeling to the console but it feels super good to get each game. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe just arrived in the post. The cases are really nice and I think inside artwork will be a consistent trend throughout this console's lifespan.

God damned comfy.

Definitely getting multiplats for this thing over the PS4/PC when they're available. Still holding out on playing Yooka-Laylee and Hollow Knight just because I want the Switch versions.
The joycons, separated, are considerably nicer feeling than any gamepad I've used in my life. The 'option' to take it portable is also 100x more nice than anything I expected it to be. Even for the times I don't take it out of my room, I catch myself playing at my desk while a TV show plays in the background or a youtube thing plays beside me. Yeah, I could have done that with the wiiU gamepad as well, and I did a lot, but that thing felt horrible and enormous. Not being tethered to a stationary piece of hardware and being smaller/more sleek makes this thing so much more convenient and sexy.

when I look at the UI, it's a lot more...I guess, manufactured feeling, there's just a certain level of charm (though not necessarily for the better for the user) that Nintendo systems have had that this one seems to be lacking, it's a lot more minimalistic, so to speak, it feels like they've gone and made the kind of console that Apple would make, instead of the console that Nintendo would make.
