I remember hearing about this years ago but I never bought it. I thought it sounded interesting.

I had fun with it. It's not the most complicated RPG, nor does it have the most interesting story or anything of the sort, but it was pretty good. Worth picking up if you can get it for cheap.

Lost Odyssey had 4, and the case for it didn't support multiple discs, fucking retards.

I thought it was a decent game. Story and characters were Saturday morning cartoon tier but the world was huge and captured the grand adventure scale that a lot of JRPGs these days are lacking. Plenty of sidequest and extra shit to do as well. Gameplay was simple but still engaging enough to offer customization and keep things interesting even if it never got too deep. It ran like ass on the original 360 though so even normal encounters were a slog because you'd get FPS drops just using basic attacks. I heard the Xbone port runs it at a steady framerate though.

It's pretty sad that both sequels were on the DS for some reason.

Certain jrpgs have special snowflake fanbases. BD is one of them, along with The Legend of Dragoon, Baten Kaitos, Panzer Dragoon Saga and others. They're physically incapable of talking about those games without mentioning them being obscure or underrated, even though most jrpg fans who have gotten past 101 level have actually at least heard of them. Watch this for a while and it becomes obvious and comical.

Not even saying those are bad games, but the snowflakes will get riled anyway thinking that their holy cows are under attack.

It's literally designed for 12 year olds. From gameplay to graphics to everything.

I liked it. The animations was sweet. The gameplay was fun.
It only had one big problem. No Jaw drooping/ oh shit moments. It was pretty "oh, okay" story.

I just got on disc 3 and defeated the man eating tree in a town. Shu just got his magic back.

Personas were a direct continuation of the demon mechanic introduced in the original Megami Tensei, with Jungian psychology added to the lore. Both of those things predate Stardust Crusaders. Sorry friend, I know animu and mango trends around 4chan go by whatever is on AS at the moment (inb4 denial of this fact we all know is true), but JoJo is not deep and didn't invent anything.

Because Microsoft and Nintendo hadn't come up with their own TotallyNotBluRay disc clones yet in gen 7.

Marred with technical issues and stupid design flaws that make combat tedious. Losy Odyssey and Blue Dragon on 360 BEFORE the installation update rolled out was a fucking nightmare. 15+ second loading times before combat, 3 - 5 second delays between input and action.

Blue Dragon is shit, but Lost Odyssey is one of the best FF style JRPGs since FF9. Also best Uematsu OST since FF8.

I just couldn't get into it. I tried real hard, because I knew I should have liked it, but I got about 20-40 hours in and just didn't feel like I was progressing, and rather than me being hooked and desperate to keep moving forward it felt like a chore to play through.

Kaneko asks about characters doing poses in front of their Stands after Araki talks about how they design them, and then there's some fashion banter. That's all Kaneko talks about regarding JoJo's. Kaneko explicitly states the earliest concept came from the pre-existing MT demons (older than JoJo's) combined with the concept of them being guardian spirits or based on people's personalities (Jungian). Araki doesn't object. Don't just parrot shit.
