i mean, arent there like less than a dozen enemy types in this entire game? everyone universally agrees that by endgame its better to just run past everything than waste your time shooting it, etc. the endings to the story are incredibly weak and although the epilogue with the robots and alex is okay it still isnt enough to make up for the ending choice being once sentence of dialogue and a 5 second cutscene before fade out to credits.

There have been, for no readily available reason, people powerfully motivated to defend nuPrey and attack anyone talking about Prey 2, along with just incredibly hostile posting all around. Finished the game today, yes, it's true, that's the plot.
I kinda liked the game tho, I needed something bioshock-like.
For 20hrs, it was worth the cheap key price.

Yeah, I skimmed through it and everything there about the story seems to hold true. I don't agree with him though about the game being mediocre. Also the ending isn't really a twist and more of a plot development if you've been paying attention to the story.

I didn't like Arkane's last two games and I didn't like the Bioshock games either so I was suprised that, 1) Arkane could still make a good game, 2) a modern studio can make a good System Shock type game. I bought Prey for half the cost on a keysite and feel like it was well worth that price. It has bugs and flaws to it like any game but I think Arkane did a good job here and they should be given credit for it. I too wish we could've had Prey 2 but now I'd rather we could have had both of those. I also wish anon's directed their hate more towards Bethesda as a company. I just want to have a good discussion thread about this game with less shitposting.

Story is shit, atmosphere is great, gameplay isn't anything special and gets kind of repetitive once you've locked into your comfort playstyle but has plenty of room for you to screw around in, level design is pretty good, and the sound designer was a literal retard, hope you like SCREEEE when you're in a completely different room from what spotted you.

It does seem that I did all the important ones though.
