I do think NV is better, but I think /v/ exaggerates how much better it is, tremendously. Yeah, the writing's decently better, the mechanics are a little improved. But it's largely the same game, could have been an expansion.

And no amount of cabbage patches can make me like the Mojave better than the Capital wasteland.

I reinstalled the game just recently too, and I was surprised once again to see that for some mindboggling reason, Obsidian didn't think a fully bald haircut (like the one the game gives your character when you're using helmets was a good idea, and you have to mod one in.
