I like Goro because he's charming and a goofball. I also thought his backstory was pretty sympathetic, despite it feeling like it came very suddenly. All I would change about him is making his Confidant optional and revealing his backstory there, so it would feel like it came out more naturally, then I think he would be perfectly fine.

Something like this requires retconning a lot of the end game of Persona 5.

With Persona 3, the extra story content just added to the ending with FES.

With Persona 4, they reworked some minor scenes that happened as free days for Golden. Just fluff content, but they had enough wiggle room to include a meaty enough post December content.

In Persona 5 they wrote themselves into a corner. And if they try, I guess it'll be a little eye ball rolling like Persona 4 Arena brought back the cast of Persona 3. I'm a little annoyed Persona 5 was DUDE THE MAJOR PLOT TWIST DICTATES SO MUCH OF THE GAME, they logically wanted to end it on December or they rushed it. Which makes me wonder why it was delayed multiple times, some of the end game cutscenes appeared in trailers before the 2nd and 3rd delay in Japan.

Persona 5 "Crimson" would require a more work than Persona 4 Golden, at that point I would prefer Persona Q2 or Persona 6. The SMT team is going to enjoy having all the HD assets done by the Persona staff while they work on a new SMT game.

Haru's is pretty obvious. Especially if you are dating her, her future with you is telegraphed easily. Haru having a 5 Proficiency roadblock is so stupid because anons will miss out on her awesome social link. That's something that a hypothetical Persona 5 Crimson would have to change, knocking it down to 3 or 4 would be fair. At that point you'd have to deliberately playing badly to not have enough proficiency for Haru.

I'm still thinking they can pull of a P5C well enough by adding a playable January. There will be some kind of disaster that pops out of nowhere, similar to the Abyss of Time. The Phantom Thieves work to figure out the crisis before the world ends again. Since MC's out, Shadow Akechi comes and acts as their leader.

Goro stays dead, Goro returns as a playable character, and we get a bit more story.

I was never spoiled anything about Persona 5. So Akechi being the the 1st twist was a little mean, I really loved his character in-battle and his personality was fun to hate.

Sorry if I sounded super rude about Akechi, it's just the curtain is drawn on him way too abruptly, like people bitch about Persona 3's STREGA, but they had a reassemble of a character arc compared to Akechi.

Akechi admitting he was doing things for his own version of justice would have been better than DUDE FUCK MY DAD, LMAO. Him having a temporary truce with the group and then betraying you again would have been OK in my book. Hell Akechi stacking the deck with his own version of Phantom Thieves of Justice, his own rogue Persona team would have been cool as fuck.

I think they had all these ideas with him but the game clock was reaching 100+ hours so it's like fuck, we gotta do something with Akechi and it has to be quick.

I agree with that, I think a lot of parts of his character were implemented fairly poorly, but I think the character himself is fine. I felt the same way about Haru, but at least Haru got away with it because she had her own Confidant, but Goro's just being part of the story is like him not having one at all, because those scenes need to take place anyway. I'm hopeful that he's implemented a little better in an enhanced edition. I loved the end sequence of the game but there were parts of it that felt gimped so they could add stuff in a re-release, and things like Goro's death were part of that. Also, I thought the fact that he just put on a show of a personality was relatable, as opposed to the PTs who were just being themselves, similarly to how people could always relate to things Adachi went through in P4, despite the fact that he was a murderer. It seems like a lot less people had that with Goro, but I did, and it made me like him a bit more.

Part of the reason it's because Haru's arc starts right after you rehabilitate Futaba, which are days you cannot do anything but hang out with your friends. Then you resume but you're flown to Hawaii. And it immediately kicks into the fast food arc by having Morgana flip out, more days taken from you. At that point you're just "FUCK". There needs to be more breathing room during September.

One way of redoing the September/Haru/Morgana arc is to have a route in which Haru's father isn't killed, thereby preventing Akechi from completely filling the traitor chair, it's a little ambiguous if he himself murdered Futaba's mother. But that also would contradict how the game starts off with you being arrested, because they wrote that twist and had to stick with it. Did I tell you how much I hate that setup, it makes it harder for Crimson/Golden to add Akechi back.

One of the thing I found very neat in Persona 5 is how the starting Personas are things outside demons/angels/gods

Gurr would be weak to phys/gun(radical bone bird, weak to physical stuff due to weak cowardly personality) resist the four main magic types(agi, zio, bufu, garu).

Girimehkala would become reflect phys/gun and null curse(reflecting strengthening myself as a person), yet become weak to the main four elements(agi, zio, bufu, garu), it'd learn Makarakarn upon evolving to make up for it.

Would focus mostly on physical skills, with charge + some curse skills, would be more suited to boss fights than random battles.
