Just got into jrpgs. Easing myself in with simple games. Playing ffvii and trails in the sky.
Also got p4g and bought persona 5 today to play later.
What else should I try out?

Take it slow and smell the roses.
Lunar
Tales of Symphonia, Chrono Trigger, Golden Sun/Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Final Fantasy VI. With that said, play your RPGs one at a time, it'll let you really get into them and appreciate each one instead of the mishmash.

This. >>376565171
Also Xenoblade, but I'd play the older classics first.
And don't be a faggot who plays shitty phoned in "HD remasters" on Steam and such. Always play originals, emulate if you have to. And if you do, make sure the emulation is as authentic as possible, that means playing old games at low resolution 4:3 format. Use good headphones and controller. Get fucking IMMERSED in that shit.

I made this list of the first.
It depends on how old you are, but:
>Pokemon (if you're young. Very simple mechanics, take whatever party you want, yada yada)
>Lunar Silver Star Story (Doesn't bog you down with picking a party, simple combat, pleasant narrative, everything is very readable in regards to what you have to do and what your characters roles are)
Final Fantasy 7 is good. Suikoden 2 is fine. A lot of the earlier RPGs have some clunkiness in regards to mechanics and level design that might make them slightly harder to get into. (For instance, Legend of Dragoon has you walk through every dungeon, find and kill a boss, AND THEN WALK ALL THE WAY OUT through random battles just fuckin' cuz).

dragon quest v
Watching paint dry. About as much gameplay and the story is infinitely better.
>>376564336
Final Fantasy V.
TWEWY is an amazing non-traditional JRPG desu

xD epik my dude. Gotta use that one one day, if you don't mind.

Play anything suggested before Golden and then after that play 5. If you do it any other way you will be disappointed with every other game that isn't Persona 5.
>>376568160
Save it, it's all yours, my friend!
>>376564336
why did you buy all these games at the same time ?
>>376564336
Off the top of my head I can strongly recommend Grandia 2 and Final Fantasy 9
>>376564336
Xenogears.
Thank me at my funeral.

>If you do it any other way you will be disappointed with every other game that isn't Persona 5.
I doubt it could be that good. Persona 3 and 4 while good were nowhere near top ten for me.
>>376564336
How are you enjoying Trails in the Sky, anon? TiTS is kind of a rough JRPG to start with because there is so much dialogue and it is somewhat slow paced.
Vagrant Story, Valkyrie Profile 1-2
