If I recall correctly, even the cumbersome Wii mode within the WiiU can be circumvented by imputing some buttons when you turn on the WiiU.

There's simply no reason for the Wii even to exist if you have a WiiU.

Yeah man, you can install pirated games to your system memory or hard drive. Use the /hbg/ guide and wupinstaller.

You have to format the hard drive so that it can only be used with the Wii U, so you can't partition it or anything. I use a 128 GB sd card for my GC and Wii games.

No. It still installs separate from the game memory. It needs to be injected into the game with saviine but saviine doesn't recognize the savefile in the USB either.

Its really easy. You don't have to downgrade or anything, you just download some files from github, put them on the card and put the sd card in the Wii U. And there's pretty much no chance of bricking.
Even if you've played all the good Wii U games it can still be useful for pirating and injecting VC games, and playing GC and Wii games through Wii mode
There's also an app that lets you use the Gamecube adapter (or other USB controllers) in other games besides smash

You can do all that. Wii U can play Wii and GC games natively, since it basically has a Wii inside it. And you can emulate N64 and DS games. I even use a USB SNES controller and a USB N64 adapter to play SNES and N64 games. There's a homebrew app called HID to VPad that lets you use all sorts of USB controllers, from Dualshock 4, 360 controllers, pokken controller, and basically anything you can write a .ini file for.
If you have the official gamecube adapter, you can use all the gamecube peripherals like the Bongos. And its compatible with all of the wii peripherals out of the box.

Yeah the save files are coded differently for different regions. There's a guide for converting USA to EUR save files and vice versa on gbatemp I think. You could try making another copy and converting it to a USA save file, I don't think its too difficult.

It doesn't emulate them, it just plays them natively. The Wii U has all the functions of a normal Wii- it literally just brings up the Wii menu. Nintendo basically flipped the GC compatibility switch to off so you just need a homebrew app called Nintendont to re-enable it. After that you can just load them from a SD card or USB.

I'm going to take the opportunity to shill HID to vpad since people are talking about it.
Its seriously one of the most useful Wii U homebrew apps. You use it to replace the input for one of the pro controllers, or the gamepad, with a USB controller. It comes with native support for the GC adapter, so you can just download it and start playing games besides smash with the GC controller.
You can also add your own .ini script for other USB controllers, and there's a directory on gbatemp with pre-made .ini files for several common controllers. In this picture I have a normal pro controller set to slot 1, the pokken tournament controller set to slot 2, and a SNES USB controller set to slot 3.
Its very useful for local multiplayer so you don't have to spend a ton on multiple Wii U pro controllers. The other day me and 3 buddies played 3D World with the gamepad, a Wii U pro controller, a dualshock 4, and a gamecube controller.

It's a very self-contained game, and you can play it by itself first. It's a prequel to the original game, with a few DX1 references hidden here and there. The Gamepad play really rubs in the missed potential of the console.

You also don't really need to worry about blocking updates anymore. If they didn't update the firmware for BOTW they're never updating it again.
