Comfiest vidya areas/vidya places you just enjoy being in thread
Most places in ff7 are amazing
especially golden saucer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roR7DFJK_Uc
except for the music and the noises of the animals and shit.
>>376535771
I've never played majora's mask, but is this as kino as it looks?
I just want to sit on that bench and read a book
>>376536197
What this part or the game in general?
>>376536365
Speaking of books
>>376536634
Both
I never got around to playing it as a kid, mostly because I had shit taste in vidya at the time
>>376536634
BLOODBORNE
how can you not know from all the shitposting about it?
>>376535943
7th heaven was what actually inspired me to make the thread but it didnt really have that comfy feel imo
>>376536740
If you liked ocarina you'll probably like mm, the part in the image is a very minor segment.
>>376536741
reading comprehension
Dark, musky, depressed, and the only home you have.
>>376537128
>reading comprehension
fucking hell that's embarrassing, sorry anon kun
i have no idea why but I always imagine capra's room being like a cool place to hang out. Like before the place went to shit everyone on that block would chill and barbecue there
>>376537401
That spot reminds me of Resident Evil
obligatory
>>376535771
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVzC6WZImGY
not quite a place, but the garden in viva piƱata is very comfy (the entire game)
>>376535771
This version of this room is just so comfy in Yume 2kki.
>>376535771
Zora's Domain in Ocarina of Time.
>>376540814

Proteus is fun once a month or so. Very comfy game when on drugs
>>376541734
>>376541837
>>376541939
>see fuzzy fireflies hovering around a tree
>get in really close to see
>world suddenly flips shit and things are suddenly scary
its comfy when it's not throwing weird shadow figures at you
>>376536197
It kinda messes with expectations sinceit's on/inside the moon, and also the definitely final area of the game. The four kids running around the tree also adds to the mystique of the place, with the apparent bad guy sitting down by the tree.
Yeah, pretty fucking kino
>>376542108
Autumn is the creepiest season. Lots of shadow folk, ghosts, and trippy ass lights at night.
Just the best, I want to live here. Ive spent like an hour just watching the title screen camera fly around through the day/night cycle.
>That enigmatic music
I'd always spend a few minutes in here.
>>376542697
was the music in the graveyard different? been a while since i played
>The music
>The snow
>That fucking Inn
Comfiest shit on the N64.

All great places, m8s. I could sit and listen to the music for hours.
TP's Faron Woods is my favourite comfy location. It's something about the music, and the clear spring.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1TUU9UDclA
>>376543010
The graveyard itself doesn't have music, just weather sound effects. The Dampe's shack is Inside the Deku Tree/general cave muisc, but hearing it inside the shack was particularly atmospheric.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0krxH0dWhU
>>376535771
This was fucking creepy.
>>376541117
I too love Whataburger.
>>376536197
>Never Played Majora's Mask
what the fuck are you doing with your life
I don't have a picture, but the town square in Legend of Mana.
>>376535771
not even just that but all of the moon mini dungeons had a comfy as fuck vibe as well. i guess just because you knew you were basically at the end of the game so there was no need to rush things
I find Casino/Arcade/Club levels to be strangely comfy aesthetically. Shame that's it's rare to find good levels though.
>>376546721
Great taste
>>376547384
my nigga
There are way too many memorable places to count that are comfy within the world of FFXI. But Windurst sticks out for me as it was the first starting zone I played in.
>>376547684
>>376535979
Shit I thought I was autistic for finding Adventure games comfy.
My favorite place is Big's Emerald Coast stage. I always play that level at night when I'm tired of other games. Fish tons of shit.
>>376548026
SA is GOAT, can't think of a single non comfy area to be honest
These threads really keep me motivated in my own game development. I work hard so I can get to the fun part, when I get to design interesting areas and aesthetics.
Never stop having them, /v/.
>>376548614
best looking water I've seen
this pic doesn't do it justice, being underwater feels like a dream
>>376535771
I give way to the honorable Majora's Mask, otherwise everything posted so far sucks shit in comparison to Guardian
https://youtu.be/Nx3jLSTvrSA
Surprised no one posted the area outside Peach's castle in SM64
Best hub
Posting kino music

From a kino town
In a kino game
There is not a place in this game that is not comfy. Even playing it for the very first game made me feel like I had a cup of cocoa in rainy November.
>when the comfiest place in a game is the menu
https://youtu.be/IdzYsNLoeGY
>>376548795
I've never considered snow areas comfy. But that ice puzzle ala pokemon GB games was a lot of fun.
Literally ANY floating island zone. I love the concept of hunks of earth just floating in the air, especially if there's thriving ecosystems. The best ones are the ones that look like paradise, be it coated in crystals or full of lush flora. I would love to live on one, but the sort of natural magnetism needed for such a thing would probably kill a person trying to live on it.
>>376550791
>when the lyrics drop for the first time
>>376544673
10/10 taste. Faron woods is amazing, literally the comfiest video forest there is. Too bad it's just a corridor.
>>376549812
Is there a reason why Souls retards from NeoGAF are posting in a comfy thread?
Nothing about those unpolished, always grimdark turdgames is comfy.
And this area literally looks like the lost woods in Zelda BotW but in shit.
>>376538463
This was my favorite part of the game
>>376551356
Sounds like you need to spend some time in a comfy vidya spot to calm down after getting triggered that hard, anon!
>>376535771

Falling or flying in jirga para lhao is probably the most comfy experience I've had in recent video games.

There is no other game in the past decade that I've been content and entertained playing a game with no objective other than just using the mechanics of the game and exploring. When everything becomes connected after chapter 27 I was so excited. Probably over a 60,000 sq meter area to explore horizontally and vertically with no loading screens and consistent framerate. Plus every area's music is so comfy.
>>376537682
>cramped, crowded clusterfuck
>comfy
opinion discarded, how did you manage to post the least comfy part of the least comfy city in the entire game?
>>376535771
Visiting the Temple of Time from time to time is really nice during the day. Its just so beautiful and quiet.
Kakariko and Mabe village in awakening are a close second. Especially the latter. Gameboy graphics but super comfy.
>>376552628
How about Booty Bay? I loved to grief there.

The moon was not comfy, it just felt...off? i guess.
Feels like an unfinished area to brain, someplace i shouldent be.
I feel a strong discomfort in areas that feel "behind the scenes"
Anyone else?
>>376552502
Yeah, when a game has fun movement mechanics you can find yourself just playing endlessly without needing a goal, it's great. I think a lot of other open world games have been lacking that lately.
>>376535771
>>376552853
I talked to all the npcs before going to the egg. Unlike the other zeldas I always felt relieved and safe hearing the music when I popped back after a dungeon. Malon hijinks made her one of my favouritenpcs of all time. So simple but cute. Felt horrible once it was done and the ending was a giant kick in the nuts seeing them all vanish. When I found out Malon could be saved I replayed the whole game again just for her.
I fucking hate all you autistic comfy fags with a passion.

despite how close it is to hell, the big glowy wing angel and fireplace makes it feel safe and cozy
>>376554372
The entire fortress is fortified and actually keeps you away from Hell's harm because there are fuckers just right down the stairs, which you can use to kind of cheese the AI.
I don't know if I like The Roost in NL or WW more. WW has the dim lights and KK Slider, but NL has your villagers visiting daily.

The music makes it.
