All you need is to google the Vita's catalog and see what's to your liking. There are plenty of game on the system but it's hard to know if you'll want any of them.

You can also play PS1 and PSP games, not all of them but more than a few.

It has Miku, Tearaway, all Persona games sans 5, the best portable FPS ever (Killzone Mercenary), a shitload of VNs and every Vanillaware game. That should be enough to warrant a purchase (it did for me at least).
If you have a PS4 you also get Remote Play, which is neat.

I find it much too draining.
