Legion is the first expansion I genuinely could not finish. Usually my Once-Per-Xpac romp to see what they came up with this time, but this was just nothing. Halfway through the second zone I lost interest and just stopped.

I see. The general concept of that idea isn't totally revolting to me but it sounds like they handle it pretty badly.

I bought the expansion and 2 months worth of time since one group of friends wanted to get back into it, and while I honestly don't really regret my purchase it definitely won't feel like I'll get most of the money's worth this time around even if I forced myself to keep up with them.

Maybe it's just that I'm a bit tired of MMO's right now but no matter the expansion WoW never hit a sweet spot for me, and I almost don't feel like it's worth it to keep up just to have an up-to-date opinion.

Anyone serious about playing wow milked Garrisons for all they were worth as soon as tokens popped up. I know of at least a dozen people firsthand that hit gold-cap almost twice during WoD and stockpiled tokens for what would be years of sub time. I personally have another 4 banked for whenever I feel like coming back to play a few days.

Nowadays though yeah, people aren't buying tokens as much since blizzard hamstringed the entire system by a great deal. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they were under 1-mil subs.

As a filthy fucking Unholy one trick, PTR notes are kinda nutty. Looks like they're trying to push Army of the Dead down to a 3m CD, and with 2piece, AoTD offers a 24 second 15% damage buff. So already on the 3 minute mark, an Army, Gargoyle, Apocalypse, and Soul Reaper get a free 15% damage.

Thing is, I don't think they remembered Legendary Shoulders exist and proc for value every 3 minutes... This throws another 30% damage on all our cooldown damage. Throw on a potion and it gets just downright retarded.

If the 5% flat damage and 6% AP scaling go live, with this t20, unholy skyrockets from worst spec in the game to one of the best specs in the game. UH burst will be better than DH's meta easily.

Necosis is getting gutted, but that's kinda irelevant, and we need the wounds from Infected Claws to maintain bracers with the loss of t19 4piece.

New legendary ring is also good stuff and is easily BiS for aoe scenarios, as you can take both Bursting Sores and Ebon Fever, even moreso now that we're shoehorned into Infected Claws.

I dont think I've ever been hyped for class changes so much before.

Frost is loosing t19, which is absolutely fucking amazing for them, and t20 looks very weak for them. It's very reasonable to assume at the very least UH will surpass Frost again.

I think it's honestly the best overall iteration of the game. Most of the usual bitching about things is related to muh things are different and muh nostalgia. Outside the faulty ilvl scaling introduced for some spots in 7.2, it's been fantastic.

Broken Shore's rep grind is much more bearable than Timeless Isles' as well. There are timegates fucking everywhere when you hit max lvl and its annoying as fuck. Sure some of them have been shortened or removed, but they are still fucking annoying knowing no matter what you do, for certain must have things like to equip a second legendary you have to wait a fucking whole 7 days researching that perk alone, not to mention the other shit you have to get done before.

I loved Legion all the way to 7.1.5, but 7.2 is just a fucking bore. There's fuck all to do at the Broken Shore once you unlock fling, unless you're willing to mindlessly grind the same mobs over and over again.

The quests have also been a fucking trainwreck. FOUR weeks of mindless grind quests without any story significance. Yes and no. you need 2~3 months to level all your alts to 110 and all your alt's champions to ilvl 850, so it takes a long time to start getting returns compared to Garrisons. You also do not get free resources this time so you need to return to the game quite regularly to generate enough resources.

If you could get free resources, you don't even need to log into the game proper, there's a literal app just for managing the order hall.

Legion has proven to be better gameplay wise than Warlords.

The new model Blizzard has implemented is nothing short of genius on their part.
